How Scotland managed to mess up that walk-in try was amateur stuff.
Scotland should have went in ahead, but the lack of ability in tackling, and executing the basics, has come back to haunt them again.
Every year it's the exact same.
if their were still sports bloopers programmes on TV a clip of that Hogg **** up would be played quite often

Referee has given France a lot of leeway for me, debatable yellow card from the clash with The French fullback jumping into the Scottish player’s head
hea also allowed France to hold their man in the air at lineouts, causing the Scottish forwards to concede a penalty when seeking to engage the maul. He finally warned them about doing it, then minutes later gave a penalty against Scotland for their man being engaged in the air after being held up by their pack

Scotland shooting themselves in the foot here, ref making it easy for France, several instances of their players impeding scotlands scrum half, nothing said (including the buildup to their try at the start of the second half)
Scotland showing today they are still miles away from the top teams, almost amateurish, silly penalties and shocking tackling.
Some of the things we do are excellent but we then go and make silly, basic errors that amateur teams would be embarrassed by. Hoggs drop just before half time changed the game. We could have gone in at the half 5 points up but ended going in nine points down. Huge change. So so frustrating. Russell had another crap day as well. He needs to get the basics right before he tries the fancy stuff

100 quid a ticket, Friday night. Add overnight accommodation if you don't live in Cardiff plus food and drink it's a 250 pound night out. Rugby needs to take a look at pricing for the 6 nations. Scotland is the same. Can't remember exact prices but I'm sure the adult tickets this year were from cheapest 76 to 116 per ticket. Autumn internationals are a far far better option for attending matches just due to oricingQuote:

I think Finn struggles with 2 bosh merchants outside him. Johnson, Tuipolotu, Harris etc are all blunt instruments. He has always played his best stuff with Jones, Bennett, Scott etc. he has also looked really good with Redpath. At Racing he has excellent centres who are on his wave length. Scotland started well then back to normal giving away too many penalties, we're still in it though. TMO was pretty eager to have our try overturned :hmmm:

ten penalties Scotland have conceded, so far
Shoeman lucky not to be off there, leads with the arm and Hogg was a greedy get by not passing inside, poor stuff. We must have the worst discipline record in world rugby, time for Townsend to go.

Another disappointing six nations campaign from Scotland
I think Scotland have hit a wall at this stage, not sure where they go from here. There's only so many times you can say "onwards and upwards" and continue to believe that there actually is a higher ceiling that is achievable for this bunch.
I think they're just the fourth best team in the 6 Nations.
