Looks like a proper thumping on its way here.
That's better.
How on earth have Scotland managed to mess that up.
Literally queuing up to score a try.
WTF Hogg jesus wept
More poor tackling for their try, shoulder but no arms, never stop anyone doing that.
lovely conversion
I love seeing France playing like this.
How Scotland managed to mess up that walk-in try was amateur stuff.
Scotland should have went in ahead, but the lack of ability in tackling, and executing the basics, has come back to haunt them again.
Every year it's the exact same.
if their were still sports bloopers programmes on TV a clip of that Hogg **** up would be played quite often
kinda hoping the investors in the six nations don't get their way and admit South Africa at the expense of the Italians in a couple of years
Referee has given France a lot of leeway for me, debatable yellow card from the clash with The French fullback jumping into the Scottish player’s head
hea also allowed France to hold their man in the air at lineouts, causing the Scottish forwards to concede a penalty when seeking to engage the maul. He finally warned them about doing it, then minutes later gave a penalty against Scotland for their man being engaged in the air after being held up by their pack
refs been poor for me
amateur hour french try
game over 42 minutes played
Piss poor again Scotland.
Scotland shooting themselves in the foot here, ref making it easy for France, several instances of their players impeding scotlands scrum half, nothing said (including the buildup to their try at the start of the second half)
Scotland showing today they are still miles away from the top teams, almost amateurish, silly penalties and shocking tackling.
Some of the things we do are excellent but we then go and make silly, basic errors that amateur teams would be embarrassed by. Hoggs drop just before half time changed the game. We could have gone in at the half 5 points up but ended going in nine points down. Huge change. So so frustrating. Russell had another crap day as well. He needs to get the basics right before he tries the fancy stuff
only 18 mins played Ireland 7 Italy 3, eejit Italian Hooker commits dangerous high tackle and Italy now play over an hour with just 14, now two defenders short due to some rule that they needed to bring a forward on
20' 14-3
29' try, easy conversion missed 19-3
37' try, conversion missed again 24-3
40' pen italy 24-6
Italy are regressing , they're pretty woeful
Sat 12th March
Italy v Scotland :worried:
don't do it Scotland, just don't
dang, missed the Edinburgh V Connacht game tonight :(
56-8
Didn't see this happening after 20 minutes. Players were slow and lacked any creativity and the atmosphere in the stadium was pretty flat. Then we suddenly sprung to life and never looked back!
Connacht were indeed pretty poor, but we kept up a great pace. Another enjoyable evening at the DAM :greengrin
seeing that scoreline i knew it was something a lot closer so i just looked at their results and it turns out it was none of the ones i've mentioned, it was indeed.......
28-29 v Leicester Tigers on sat 15th Jan....my memory sucks
just noticed the game is on premier sports again @ 4am  Scarlets v Glasgow tomorrow 5:15pm
Was there talk about Georgia coming in at some time?
NRL back on Thursday at 9am. Defending champs Penrith host Manly.
huge game tonight Wales v France
the wales U20's lost to France last night 15-47
i see Georgia have Qualified for the WC next year after Russia were booted out and guaranteed one of the European qualification places
Both commentators obviously supporting Wales. Bring back Bill McLaren!!
What a try. Thus France team are special
Wales are in for a gubbing. France are a joy to watch. So quick. Must be about the world's best right now.
Very surprised at the number of empty seats in Cardiff.
Should say, good game, Wales putting up a fight here but similar to the game a couple of weeks ago the second half will be huge.
100 quid a ticket, Friday night. Add overnight accommodation if you don't live in Cardiff plus food and drink it's a 250 pound night out. Rugby needs to take a look at pricing for the 6 nations. Scotland is the same. Can't remember exact prices but I'm sure the adult tickets this year were from cheapest 76 to 116 per ticket. Autumn internationals are a far far better option for attending matches just due to oricing
The price of the tickets for it were ridiculous, apparently.
I'm enjoying the Friday night under the lights game a lot more than the Sunday afternoon affairs. Seems much livelier and much more atmospheric.
Been a tense affair - Wales still in it without being spectacular - what they do best, really. France look like they have gears to go up but they need to stop the stupid mistakes.
Jesus Christ I though we were hard done by at £86 a skull a couple of weeks ago.
Rugby needs to have a ****ing good look at itself, hopefully these empty seats give the Welsh something to think about.
The more stadiums sell out though, the more this will carry on.
kicking games are boring :( come on where's that french flair
ridiculous the length of time for that advantage
that french kicker has had his boots on the wrong feet all game
Scotland very keen to help Italy out with the schoolboy errors
3-0 4 mins played, i do hope finn russels kicking improves after that very poor kick over the opposite side of the pitch just basically handing the opposition the ball, Rank
Very passive start to this game from Scotland so far.
didn't see that one coming, great try Scotland :greengrin russell misses convertion
finn russell pass intercepted puts a lot of pressure on Scotland
then a Scottish interception lets Scotland in for a try
3-12
25 mins italians miss a penalty
That's better, 3-12.
good try Italy
10-12
Scotland have had very little ball in the first 30 mins
we're not too pleasing on the eye here so far
yay Try Scotland under the posts
10-19
HT
10-26 50 mins, should be out of sight now :)
well done Italy with that last try :agree: i know the score doesn't reflect it but i think Scotland were poor to watch today
Ireland 30+ points next week :agree:
and well done townsend giving four subs a lousy 5 mins on the park, great management, must do their confidence a world of good, not
Well, this has started well!!!! :-)
Never a red card ….. accidental head collision.
missed the first 90 seconds of the england/ireland game and the host side already down to 14 :)
and 0-8 after 7 mins
Thought Scotland weren't great struggled a bit with Russell kicking the ball away all the time. Gave away a few poor tries imo. Assume Ireland will convincingly beat Scotland.
Some start to England Ireland red card in one minute think correct decision hugely reckless head in head. Excellent Irish try
100% red card. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't understand the laws of the game as they are now. That is exactly the kind of contact that world rugby are trying to stop. Concussion is a huge issue in the game
I don't know an awful lot about rugby but 22 points seems quite a high number of points for Italy score in a match.
I note they actually scored 22 points against France two years ago but other than that you need to go back to 2018 for the last time they scored more than 22 points against a side that's currently ranked above them.
Ireland players getting thoroughly embarrassed here
that could have been sooooo embarrassing for Sexton :greengrin
no surprise really Scotland U20's are bottom of the league
will that be the winning ireland try
this one certainly will be
in years to come folk will look at this scoreline and think wow ireland must have been brilliant
15-32

What's your thoughts now? I'm considering taking "cash out" before the England game. I thought France looked a bit nervous and weren't great under the high ball against Wales.
I think Ireland will hammer Scotland to go top of the table putting extra pressure on France who aren't the best at dealing with high expectations. Different this time?
That's a pool we're not getting out of, sadly. Not based on any of our Six Nations performances so far anyway. Even our 2 wins we've looked really sluggish, lacking any real penetration.
The lack of quality coming up the back in our U21s worries me for the coming years to be honest.
Butler makes your ears bleed , Jiffy's not much better they'd give your ******** a migraine. Looking at social media on Friday night after the Wales game there where a lot of people tell Brain Moore how big a mistake the BBC have made in dropping him from their six nations coverage
an interesting take on Finn Russell
Scotland: Key issues facing Gregor Townsend before Six Nations trip to Dublin - BBC Sport
The fulcrum of Scotland's attack is Russell - but the 29-year-old has been a shadow of the player everyone knows he is. He still swaggers about with the smile and smirk we've become accustomed to but hasn't delivered on that charmer's promise.
The calmness that personifies his game has given way to questionable decision-making. The other worry is that no longer is he just ill-disciplined with the ball in hand - kicking needlessly or trying the endless Hollywood ball that will not come off this season - he is also giving away penalties and picking up cards as a result.
The yellow in Cardiff was costly, having gotten away with his yellow at Twickenham and red in Paris last year. If Scotland are ever going to challenge for the title, they need Russell at his very best and this year he has been ineffective.
i'd still love to know why we blew not just the result against Wales this season but the same ending against the Welsh last season at Murrayfield, i just can't understand why we completely fell out of these games, surely can't be a lack of energy, the only things i can think of is either managerial tactics or the players themselves deciding to just hold on to what they had which is more or less the impression i got during and after that defeat to Wales, i couldn't understand why we just let wales dictate most of the play in the second 40, especially after playing so well in the first, maybe like football it's just one of those 'game of two halves' things i guess
I think Finn struggles with 2 bosh merchants outside him. Johnson, Tuipolotu, Harris etc are all blunt instruments. He has always played his best stuff with Jones, Bennett, Scott etc. he has also looked really good with Redpath. At Racing he has excellent centres who are on his wave length. Harris can’t even execute a simple overlap as we saw v France.
I see he has now been dropped for Kinghorn which is just a mental decision. Townsend seems to have completely lost his way. Gone after the World Cup you would imagine, but Scotland are now regressing at an alarming rate.
Russell among those disciplined for a breach of protocol this week:
Six Nations: Stuart Hogg, Finn Russell & Ali Price among six Scotland players disciplined - BBC Sport
i'm amazed the welsh player didn't know he had to tap the ball first at a tap and go
14-0 Ireland, the rest of this isn't going to be pretty. 😣
14-5
Italy were brilliant earlier, a well deserved win.
Scotland started well then back to normal giving away too many penalties, we're still in it though. TMO was pretty eager to have our try overturned :hmmm:
for goodness sake Hogg, simple pass inside and that was a try
ten penalties Scotland have conceded, so far
Shoeman lucky not to be off there, leads with the arm and Hogg was a greedy get by not passing inside, poor stuff. We must have the worst discipline record in world rugby, time for Townsend to go.
Dear France, sorry we couldn't help you out a wee bitty
but anyway
well done Italy, 7 long years wait for a six nations win, 36 game losing streak is finally over
Scotland the only side to lose to Wales this series thus allowing them to avoid the wooden spoon, but we do finish 4th, amazingly we coulda finished 3rd
I said that months ago. We're talented and yet we make so my technical errors and the discipline issues are ridiculous. It's coaching pure and simple.
Russell is a maverick but he's our key guy and we need to find a coach who can keep him at the top of his game for Scotland.
I'm done with Townsend

Not kept up with the six nations is it France and Ireland with the chance of winning the tournament?
8-0 France
England are pretty poor, France well in the lead 18-6
France about to win the Grand Slam.
Yes, i've been doing other things so just noticing now, but should England be wearing blue socks?
Another disappointing six nations campaign from Scotland
I think Scotland have hit a wall at this stage, not sure where they go from here. There's only so many times you can say "onwards and upwards" and continue to believe that there actually is a higher ceiling that is achievable for this bunch.
I think they're just the fourth best team in the 6 Nations.
