Just finished watching it, good win for Michigan but I thought the hokies were a bit unlucky as they looked the better team. Exiting game though
DH has been so quiet on here of late, I didn't quite realise that the Suckeyes lost out in the most major of Bowls, the Gator Bowl, 24-17 to Florida.
What an NCAA season - a Michigan BCS Bowl win, an OSU non-BCS Bowl defeat and a Wolverines victory over both Notre Dame and OSU to boot! What a turnaround season for us - well done insta-legend Brady Hoke!
Been a pretty **** week to be DH actually - both OSU and the NY Jets experience that crumbling feeling :thumbsup::wink:

As for the Jets, People have to get real. In 20 years of following them the last few years are up there with the best of them and while this year was disappointing it wasn't to be unexpected. One things for sure though, it's going to be one hell of an off season, in Rex we trust :not worth.

I fully expect one of those clubs to be the AFC representative in the Superbowl, despite our current advantage!
Also not sure what to expect from us next year - we've seen some good young prospects start to feature this year, but our drafting and transfers really need to focus on sorting out our D, which is nowhere near good enough to be winning Superbowls. More looking forward to the NFC Playoffs than the AFC ones, as there are three really good teams with a shot at making the Championship game - especially looking forward to Detroit vs New Orleans this coming weekend!

Big Ben had a wonky foot, his receivers were below par, and they still managed to get it to overtime, I reckon the Pats will go to town on the Denver D next weekend, although aren't the Pats something like 31st in passing defence, or is it total defence this season? Might be worth a change in the game plan, although doubt Tebow is capable of being disciplined enough to pass more than 20 times a game.
Gutted our season is over (Lions fan), but didn't think this would be our year, we get our 1st round pick RB back next year, that's our achillies heel, no balance in the Offence (although who needs balance with Megatron right?, exciting times though.
NFC Championship game will be Packers v Saints, I'd take the Saints to win that one in a high scoring shootout, the Saints have something resembling a Defence, the Packers do not (take Woodson and Matthews out and they are awful on Defence).
Tried watching some college ball, BCS doesn't make sense to me, as an example, why do Boise State continually get overloooked for the Bowl Championship Game? Is it decided by strength of conference/division or something?
Amusingly, we have the worst pass defence in the league, yet are still the #1 ranked team in the AFC, which tells you just how unstoppable Brady and our offense have been this year! I'm a little bit apprehensive about next weekend, as Tebow's passing looks like it's always improving, but I think unlike the Steelers, we should get into their defense and put up some points, just as we did in Mile High last month.Quote:

Watched it last night, I didn't expect that either. To be fair to bama they basically shut down LSU offence but struggled in the red zone themselves. Both defenses are quality

Couldn't stay up so recorded it and watched it this morning.
Was delighted with how we played. 14 negative plays shows just how tuned in our defense were last night and I've run out of superlatives for Brady's absolutely sensational performance.
I don't think last night shows Tebow to be a bad QB. He didn't have a good game, but he's developed very well over the season - yeah, his spiral isn't pretty and he doesn't deal with pressure well, but the kid can scramble like nobody I've seen and can pick passes at will - his sheer determination to take his team forward is also to be applauded and I think he'll become one of the better QB's in the league.
Hopefully our team work with the same efficiency next week as if it IS the Ravens we face (as I suspect it should be), they'll be a much harder team to break down than the Broncos.

I was very impressed with the 49ers last night, their d is top notch and Gore is a beast. What has happened to Alex Smith, he's suddenly a different player to previous years. With the head coach they have and the intensity they displayed and the 1st q especially I wouldn't write the 49ers off against anyone left!
