It has been said a million times before but the standard of punditry is abysmal. I’m watching the Sparta Prague game against Rankgers and they had McCoist in the studio. Listening to his prematch comments it seemed clear he hadn’t bothered his arse one little bit to actually do the slightest bit of research or prep, just regurgitating generic cliches about European football and ‘history’ between the clubs.
Sadly his ‘cheeky chappy’ demeanour seems to have infected coverage down South with him being used at the major tourneys now.
As for Gary Neville he can be critical of Man U but he does display a real visceral hatred of Arsenal. I put that down to him still struggling to get over the fact that Cole, Pires and Henry regularly showed him up back in the day.
Dessers is a poor player like. I think almost every time I've seen him he's looked *****.
