I think i am personally very near to not bothering with football anymore, i have always known the game was bent, but seeing it as clear as this now is a game changer for me.
Scottish football is corrupt, and that's NOW confirmed by VAR.
Why do we have people managing VAR in the Premiership who have never got close to refereeing at this level? The guy on VAR at Dingwall today has refereed 75% of his league fixtures this season below Championship level.
Getting very close to the point where we may have to consider doing away with the “penalty”.
It wouldn’t eradicate cheating altogether but would reduce the practice considerably.
With every phantom penalty award that is attained without consequence, it simply gives officials carte blanche to continue the corruption of our game with even more ludicrous awards.
Folk like to see their team win most of the time. You feel you've got your money's worth if they do. Of course there's the whole religious baggage with that pair too but that's basically what it comes down to. I was probably more contented in general when we were in the Championship and winning a lot of games. Of course I didn't want to see us in that league but I came away from ER feeling the visit had been worthwhile a great deal more often than I do now.Quote:
