Listening to the radio.
It's almost like something from a bygone age with access to pretty much any TV you want on demand 24/7 but I love it.
Out of Doors on Radio Scotland is 90 minutes of pure joy. It shouldn't work because it's a show largely about scenery and landscape on the radio but it just does. Other favourites are Craig Charles, Don Lett and Cillian Murphy on Radio 6 and Witness on Radio 4.
I think it's because there is no visual stimulus it requires concentration. It's too easy to get distracted watching the TV, when you are listening to something you really have to be immersed to enjoy it.

Listening to Hancocks half hour.
Tony Hancock was a legend.
Listening to non British born immigrants who speak a mixture of English with their own and a Scottish accent. It just makes me feel a bit proud and makes me smile.
Roasting your Chestnuts in front of an open fire.

Leftovers on sandwiches.
Really thinly sliced turkey, some thinly sliced stuffing balls, cranberry sauce and some sliced pickled gherkins between 2 slices of seeded bread.
Also made some roasted pork today and an apple, cider, cream and mustard sauce. Already looking forward to that on a sandwich tomorrow with some horseradish and chives.
The unbridled appreciation of the family of foxes we feed every night. Ten years' worth of cub after cub after cub.
They live in the fields around our house and are safe from traffic and other people. This reflects in their behaviour, so relaxed.
The perfect pint of draught Guinness I had in Winstons today.
A perfectly timed cup of tea.
