Geez, it’s a hard game. I enjoyed that, technically poor but strangely compulsive viewing.
Ronaldo showed a lot of bottle there. Costa fantastic. A dramatic and unpredictable game despite the lack of goals.

Is there not a statistical anomaly where Ronaldo hasn’t scored for Portugal in a tournament outside of the group stages before? Or maybe it’s just in one of the Euros or World Cup that’s the case. Or quite possibly I’m wrong.

I'm not convinced the Austrian keeper covered himself in glory there.
The deflection is close range but there wasn't a huge amount of pace on the ball and he has basically thrown it right into the danger area.
Austria's number 15 Lenhart is a dead ringer for Gordon Hunter, same position as well!
