The rats. But how much worse it would be if we didn't hold all the cards.

Sunak announces the windfall tax which everyone has been calling for since the Spring. To be fair it’s a generous package of measures at first glance, the problem is the damage has already been done during the months of inaction first half of the year. The supply problems predate Ukraine, he’s hoping that folk forget that and blame Putin for food banks instead of Tory policy.
I wonder how much of this windfall tax the Tories can steal and distribute out to their mates.
Scrounging Jocks to the rescue again. Strange the Beeb was adamant North Sea Oil would have ran out by now.
Immoral, corrupt and shameless, yet so many people....including some who post on here... happily vote for them as they feel it's 'in their interests'.

Tory who sent "buttery and creamy" teenage girls tweet resigns (yahoo.com)
THE Conservative local deputy-chair who posted a tweet saying 16-year-old girls smell "buttery and creamy" has resigned from the party.
This weekend, a post on the Twitter account now confirmed to be of Jonty Campbell, who has stood for election in Preston on a number of occasions, was spotted online.
Edinburgh airport shambles yesterday. Border force couldn't run a bath.
3 planes coming in at the same time, and they can't cope. Electronic passport machines out of order, or not reading, causing vast queues, and time waiting exceeding an hour, only to find we're still waiting on our bags 2 hours after landing, due to limited numbers of baggage handlers and buggies to get the bags from the planes to the reclaim area.
I recall the CEO at Edinburgh airport screaming that he wanted his passengers back during the reopening after covid. Maybe if he'd got his act together during the downtime, and put more effort into getting his systems right, rather than plastering the arrivals hall with posters about how Great Britain is, visitors to the country wouldn't think they'd just landed in a backwater.
Rant over.
Sadly it’s not just Edinburgh, ever UK airport seems to be the same. I flew back from the Caymans a few months ago in to Heathrow. Had to queue for 2 hours to check-in for my Edinburgh flight and when I did get back home I found out my luggage was never loaded on to the plane. Got home on the Saturday and my luggage was finally delivered back to my flat on the Tuesday.
Guess we are seeing the results of cancelling thousands of zero-hour contracts and not being able to re-recruit the staff back.

Nadine Dorries, for your enlightenment.
Second home owners will get the energy rebate for each home they have.
Every chance they can get with these ****ers.
Been to 8 airports in Europe and US in the last few months and Edinburgh is one of the better ones just now, certainly for passing security.
Also every nation I've been are toiling with staff shortages, not sure if covid knock on or what. Signs in all the restaurants and hotels apologising for staff shortages. The US airports the worst Vietnam and Thailand last year had far more modern airports

So when he said it wouldn't happen again, he meant that he'd change the rules so that it would no longer be a problem for him when he does it again. Anyone who thinks Johnson is good for the country needs to take a long look at what he's doing.
