Rangers Football Club has become a platform for promoting the values of various minority groups, such as the LGBT+ community, across social media and other channels. While some people want to celebrate diversity and create an inclusive environment for all, it feels as though the majority group, those who share traditional Christian and Protestant beliefs, has been left out or, worse, sidelined.
Examples of this is when the club design and the release an orange strip. This kit, which has zero involvement in the club colours is only produced for one reason only. Finance. Why you ask? The Orange colour, associated historically with the Protestant community, seemed to be more of a financial decision rather than a meaningful tribute to the heritage and identity of a large section of the Rangers fanbase which for financial gain but show contempt for the very organisation you expolit.
This is hilarious. "You's are pyoor exploitin wiz coz youz know how much we love bein' pyoor staunch n aw that"
But Billy Dodds and Derek Ferguson said it was to celebrate Dutch footballers?
So which is it lads? Staunchness, or a celebration of Dutch players?
A hun existential crisis?
Lovely stuff.
I must admit, it did make me uncomfortable when they released a statement befitting of a modern, reasonable, tolerant 21st century institution earlier this week.
Made me feel like the small minded bigot, when that is generally a defensive position adopted by being subjected to a lifetime of their pish.
Maybe they're being highly intelligent here and are hoping to disguise the fact that in hunland there really is a different version of protestantism?
Obviously distinct from christianity or indeed most / any other theologies?

Union bear statement …
https://x.com/UnionBears_07/status/1...-vs-rangers%2F
'Rangers is a modern, progressive football club, and we are fiercely proud of our diverse playing squads, workforce and support.'
:faf:
Surely it's no April 1st yet is it?
We used to live in an age, where if something waddled and quacked like a duck, it was a duck 100%.
We're now living in a parallel, social media universe, where white is black, the devil is God and evil is good.
You can act and be as obnoxious as like and then say you're holier than holy and all is fine and sorted.
And there's some even in our support that give them credit. **** me.

That statement is comedy gold. If there was ever a need for Section 60 to be invoked it is an Old Firm Derby. The use of pyros, by both sets of supporters, shows why it is required. The best line is that the Club should ‘exert its influence to compel Police Scotland’ they obviously think we are still living in the 1950’s.
It's the same comedy gold as the Green Brigade and Block 7 statements.
They need to all dry their eyes.
As for the Onion Bears statement, incredible brass neck in a week where they have caused reputational and financial damage to their club. The "We demand" bit is particularly cringe. Think they will be a long time waiting.
Reckon Rangers and Celtic will be secretly happy that both sets of Ultra's were put back in their boxes by the Police.

If only we could do this in Scotland, would sort it out once and all
Following up on their statement The Rangers football club have issued lifetime bans to union bears supporters they consider responsible for the offensive banners at their last European game. Reported in the Herald
I have to say I’m pleasantly surprised and they should be congratulated IMHO
Sevco being reminded that UEFA have a bigger pair of balls than their masonic colleagues at the SFA.

When the subject of Cerny firing water at Celtic fans was mentioned at the recent press conference Ned Ferguson stated he had no concerns about it and wanted to his players to celebrate. No surprise there given his past record.
Anyhoo given that we’re at Ibrox on 5 April let’s make sure that we score and celebrate in the same way. Can you imagine Boyler spraying the Govan unwashed having scored the winner.
In which case stand back for mass condemnation from their media acolytes and the SFA who have been strangely silent on the subject up till now.
