I've always had a lot of time for Everton, I too see them as a historical football club with good values and you do naturally want them to stay up but then I think what's the point of just staying up to just exist as an EPL club, a season in the Championship going to new grounds, being the biggest draw in the League and probably winning more games than you have in years isn't the worst outcome IMO.Quote:

One saving grace from today. A big, big win for Arsenal in many ways. Good cameo from Trossard at the end for them too - there was an interesting write-up on F365 about Arsenal signing him after missing out on Mudryk. Essentially they made the case that in most windows, especially summer ones, Arsenal can pick up a player with Mudryk's potential, but at this stage of the season an experienced Prem-ready rotation player like Trossard might, counter-intuitively, suit them just as much.
Excellent game in and of itself, too. It used to be fashionable a few years ago to slate EPL games for being sterile and saccharin. This wasn't such a game, it was a proper heavyweight bout, going the whole fifteen rounds.
