As a GK coach, it winds me up hearing any outfielder talk about keepers. Crap like "he should never be beaten at his near post" and other soundbites is about all you get, then when a proper GK is a pundit and tries to explain why it isn't the Keepers fault, or why they're being too harsh you get the "aw that's just the GK union sticking up for each other."
Think there should always be a keeper pundit for football games, as it's almost a different sport inside a sport, and efor xamples like Bailey's goal vs De Gea a few weeks back, all pundits agreed he couldn't save it. Ask any keeper, they'll tell you it's not that hard of a save if he went with his hands rather than his feet.
Little things like that wind me up, although it could just be because I was a keeper, but I think the insight they bring to some goals conceded is 10x what Souness etc can. Rob Green is brilliant at it.
