Deshaun Watson is probably the worst one, 200+ million, all guaranteed, and he is/was playing terribly, and the baggage that comes with him, the browns will be regretting that trade for a long time

I got round to watching the highlights last night, was a great see saw battle in the snow. When I played many years ago as soon as the weather got like that you'd just hand the ball off to a running back and make sure you told him to wrap the ball up and not to fumble, now it seems like they pass it through the snow just as often-maybe improvements in footwear and difficulty for covering defenders to keep their feet. Both Jameis and Russell were super accurate in those conditions, impressive. Steelers still look good for the playoffs.
My mate (who is a Dallas Cowboys fan) just sent me a message saying Cowboys = Hibs after that blocked kick, their latest calamity.
It’s funny because it’s true.
Was Brandon Aubrey ‘doing a youan’ during the VAR check? :grr:
I was just thinking while watching the Lions game just now how the NFL is such a great product compared to scottish football, intelligent punditry, deep insight, any given sunday any team can win…in fact there’s just no comparison.
(Although ive just seen an incredibly farcical unnecessary roughness penalty, refs insane everywhere)
I think I might love Tua. He's just carving the Patriots up for fun.
With him under centre the Dolphins suddenly resemble a serious football team again.
Im calling this now. After nearly 100 of being *****, this time Lions this time.
a hammering is taking place
Buccaneers 30-0 @ NY Giants
flicking through the venues and i couldn't help notice the surface at the miami dolphins stadium, jeezo and we slag some surfaces in Scottish football :greengrin
switched channels earlier with chiefs way ahead of the Carolina panthers flicked back and it's 27-27 with 1:46 on the clock, unfortunately Chiefs have the ball now
33 yard run by mahomes
in FG range now
31 yard FG wins it :( valiant effort Panthers
Right… tell me that bit at the end where Turpin goes to take the punt, accidentally lets it roll through his legs, gathers it, spins, and takes it the length of the pitch for a touchdown… isn’t the American football equivalent of Elie Youan at Hibs?
Tremendous stuff.
Edit - not at the end. Not by a long shot. Hilarious stuff there.
good win for Packers beating the 49ers 38-10, x3 TD's for Josh Jacobs
Mahomes has a guaranteed $52m a year for 2023-2026, according to this site Cowboys Dak Prescott signed the biggest contract in NFL history guaranteeing $1m more than Deshaun Watson quite astonishing money
https://eu.usatoday.com/story/sports...s%20guaranteed.
just for chuckin a ball :greengrin
Thanksgiving in the US, so a packed evening of games tonight starting with Lions Bears in an hour, Giants Cowboys at 9:30 and one that actually matters in playoff terms, Dolphins at Packers at 1:20am. A nice side activity is identifying which of the US presenters have had one too many thanksgiving beverages…
Paul Merson WTAF
QB Daniel Jones joins Minnesota Vikings in a deal worth £300k for the rest of the season
Good stat: Miami have now lost their last 11 games playing in temperatures under 40 degrees (4c).
Thats their season over surely.
Lucky KC after the Raiders blow it on the last play. How many games have they won now in the last few seconds?
Both Ohio st and Michigan doing their best to lose this game, the shock is still on!
Unranked Michigan beats #2 Ohio st 13-10 :faint:
This cfb season has been bonkers.
A full blown royal rumble in the middle of the pitch now :hilarious
2nd & Goal TD Jets Davante Adams, extra point blocked, Jets 4th different kicker this season
6-0
jets get to set up at the 27 yard line after seahawks lose the ball from the restart
2nd & Goal TD jets Rookie Davis, Jets go for the 2
14-0
Seahawks only JUST recover another drop from the restart
back in it TD Seahawks 14-7
Washington running away with it v Tennessee Titans 28-0
wow what a TD Jets from the return from their own line 21-7, i can't remember seeing that from a return in any game
incredibly Seahawks have spilled the return AGAIN
aw man a Rodgers throw at the seahawks 12 yard line is intercepted by seahawks running the length(almost) for a TD, seahawks extra point blocked now, tiz all action this one 21-13
Big Cat 91 yard interception return!
Crazy first half.
not even HT and it's 21-21 at Steelers @ bengals game
seahawks FG 21-16 jets
that was a big mistake by the jets coach ulbrich not to call a timeout and add an extra 30 seconds for jets to get another score before HT,strange one
anyways HT 21-16
i can see jets losing this, they're not getting the breaks now from seahawk muck-ups
seahawks 1st,2nd, 3rd & Goal, penalty, 1st,2nd, 3rd and 4th &Goal...zilch, some great defence by jets there
Awful hit on Trevor Lawrence, leads to 2 ejections after a mass brawl
:agree:
anyways
FG seahawks 21-19 jets
that's now SEVEN straight pointless drives for jets
seahawks 4th & 6 and then a flag for jets having 12 on the field, just can't make this up
4th & 1, oh my goodness jets give away yet another penalty for interference, 1st & 10
seahawks 4th & 1 looking for a FG but jets stop them, wait a minute, flag calls yet ANOTHER jets penalty
jets defence has been great but now a litany of comical penalties
seahawks fumble on the 12 yard line lol, this is no real
wait, it's now an incomplete pass because jets 99 goes in the neutral zone lol, back to 3rd & 1 seahawks, and now TD, jets only have themselves to blame here it's almost like they've never played the game before
26-21 Seahawks
5:25 remaining
i think Rodgers has been so poor here
seahawks have the ball and that'll be that
i think that was 9 or 10 straight drives without even a bloody FG that's Jets season over, so soon
bengals 38 steelers 44, most combined points total in NFL this season
steelers have the ball 2:39 remaining
steelers 21-4 last 25 games @ Bengals, that's some record
tied 23-23 incredible finish in OT in the buccaneers@ carolina panthers game, Bucks had missed their FG chance , Carolina have a 1st & 10 well within FG range and they fumble the ball with bucks getting it, they've blown it
FT Carolina 23 Tampa Bay 26
OH Carolina
Jets tied at Dolphins 26-26
overtime starting, jets will be officially eliminated if they lose this
Dolphins need to win to stay in the hunt
well that was incredibly easy that drive, TD Dolphins
Jets fade so badly in the last few games
Bears QB williams passed just 25 yards in that 1st half v 258 yds for purdy
0-24 49ers
This has been a spectacular game in LA all evening. Bills 35 Rams 38, 9 mins left, but Josh Allen seems able to create magic at will.
Seattle fans everywhere cheering on the Bills.
Wow best game of the year. 44-42 Rams just sneak it. Thank goodness. Great division this year.
i noticed an interesting stat during that game, on points/game 1st halves Chicago lie 28th in the NFL, on 2nd halves they are(were) 11th
elsewhere Chiefs once again do just enough to win v LA chargers 19-17
no doubt they will go 13-1 after next week @ Cleveland Browns(3-10)
then a home game v Houston followed by hopefully a very hard test on Xmas day @ Pittsburgh
Looks like almost all the big games or ones with playoff implications will be on the late Sunday slate. Saquon Barclay is on pace to break the 40 year old season rushing record, what a brilliant trade that was-Eagles Steelers a huge game for both, Bills-Lions proper heavyweight clash too. I’ll be staying up late for Packers-Seahawks, Seattle have had so many great games with the Pack over the years.
TD jets with 1min +(and two timeouts for jaguars) remaining to go ahead 32-25 but once again it looks like a terrible decision by Ulbrich to go for the one point instead of going for a FG, or something like that, it would have run the clock down more ? either way both commentators were astonished
i'm sure he has his reason :hmmm:
anyways, Rodgers and Davante Adams=dream team :greengrin
Bad day for the Colts and Dolphins in the AFC. Colts’ Johnathan Taylor runs for an apparent TD in a crucial game at Denver, but replays show he dropped the ball in celebration before he’d crossed the line, no score, absolutely incredible how this continues to happen to players.
Packers Seahawks shortly for those not working tomorrow :greengrin
great game Bills winning 48-42 @ Detroit Lions
Go
Packers
Go
great win in Seattle 30-13 Green Bay now 10-4
pick of the TD's for me was Doubs with a brilliant catch with 5 mins remaining
what a weekend
Jets win
Packers win
Eagles win
Hibs Win
Hibs Women win
Huns Lose
Diets Lose
sadly Leeds could only Draw :(
Chiefs again managing to combine looking distinctly average and underwhelming with being most likely to win this game and in due course - the Superbowl.
Dolphins need to Colts and Broncos to lose out and then to win out. Broncos lose last night, Colts losing tonight. Here we might just have a chance.
Miami inactives v Cleveland:
QB 1.Tua Tagovailoa
Oh just **** off.
Jets 999th regular season game ends with a 40-14 hammering @ Bills
looking forward to this upcoming Packers @ Vikings game
Seahawks need a complicated series of results including Dolphins, Packers, Lions wins to stay alive, so im going to watch without expectation.
Saquon just needs 100 yards next week to break Eric Dickersons season rushing record, which i remember him setting in my second season watching the sport back in 1984! It will be a truly historic achievement especially in his first season with a new team. The Giants really know how to royally **** things up, imagine trading away your best player to see him be a record breaker for your rivals.
Close but no cigar for GB.
Great fightback against a top side
packers unlucky there, 20-3 down at one stage early 3rdQ just run out of time to try win it themselves, 27-25 vikings
huge game tonight Minnesota Vikings @ Detroit Lions
winner gets a first round bye in the play-offs and home field advantage throughout
loser finishes 5th seed, never been a regular season game between two 14-win sides in NFL history and a bummer for the loser ending up a wildcard team
unfortunately this one is the 01:20 mon morning game this week and i'm up early tomorrow so will probably skip the 2nd half :(
still plenty up for grabs with others
Broncos home to Kansas who are resting Mahomes and a few others, if Broncos do slip up Miami Dolphins will get the final AFC wildcard spot with a win at Jets.
interesting that Kansas will have a three week break before that next game, could be rusty
94 yard return for a Bears TD dearie me GB :boo hoo:
Atlanta might be sneaking into the playoffs at the expense of the buccs.
Theres less at stake than normal in the final week with so many places wrapped up already. No Seattle, no party :greengrin
Cant believe Saquon ismt going to get a chance to go for the rushing record. The Eagles playing their backups. One of the great rushing seasons of all time.
Looking forward to the 9.25 games.
All I need is the Dolphins to beat the Jets and the Chiefs back ups to beat the Broncos. If that happens we win the right to get pumped in Buffalo next week.
Simple eh?
packers were disappointing there, love injured his elbow earlier
packers go ahead with a FG with 48 seconds remaining 22-21
Bears FG two secs remaining wins it and a 10 game losing streak comes to an end 24-22 Bears
so poor
so so so poor
did i say they were poor :( drop down from 6th seed to 7th and i think it's Philly Eagles in Philly
Enjoyed watching the Bucs trying to get Mike Evans over 1000 yards at the end, to tie Jerry Rice on 11 straight 1000 yard seasons. Outstanding achievement
Patriots beat the Bills, what's going on man
i take it Bills were missing a few starters :)
GB limping into the play offs in the worst possible way. I can see maybe one win, not much more than that.
not a great start for Jets, i can't see Aaron Rodgers putting himself through another season like this
then again a few $m is a huge incentive
3-0 Dolphins
Broncos 7-0
Broncos 14-0
Im not an expert on college football by any means, but it seems like there are four quality prospects, Travis Hunter WR/CB who will go first, Cam Ward from U of Miami the top QB, Graham a defensive monster from Michigan and Hunters QB from Colorado who’s name escapes me. The Pats already have their QB in Drake Maye so they might have to trade up after today!
four TD passes for Aaron Rodgers, wtg
mon Aaron make it a nice round 21 seasons, go on :(
FT 32-20 Jets
FT 34-0 Broncos
LA Chargers @ Houston Texans
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Baltimore Ravens
Denver Broncos @ Buffalo Bills
Green Bay Packers @ Philadelphia Eagles
Washington Commanders @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Minnesota Vikings @ LA Rams
LA Chargers @ Houston Texans.......... i can't decide
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Baltimore Ravens
Denver Broncos @ Buffalo Bills
Green Bay Packers @ Philadelphia Eagles
Washington Commanders @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Minnesota Vikings @ LA Rams
that's my expert picks :)
