Longstanding contractual agreement between the RFU and the Prem clubs that selected players are released the weekend prior, thus allowing England double the prep time before their first match, whether 6NC or Autumn Tests. What's with the green trim on the Scotland shirts? Obviously it's a colour I like but I never get why they feel the need to add anything to the straightforward navy blue and white. The purple element seems thankfully to have disappeared.

Could we improve, yes. Were there players below par, absolutely. Was our discipline worrying, naturally.
Second and in a good place ahead of Ireland visiting next week.

A pretty fair summary to be honest. As Finn said after the game, most of our mistakes were individual errors, so it's addressable before Ireland arrive next week. Of course Ireland eventually put the foot down and pulled away from England but if we fix the penalties and individual errors from Saturday, and are otherwise as clinical, I see no reason we can't undo the hex they seem to have on us just now - they definitely didn't look AS strong as in previous years.Quote:

Is local grassroots rugby really struggling? I live round the corner from Forrester Rugby Club and got a leaflet through the door from them the other night which was basically a begging letter asking people to donate through a GoFundMe page as they were struggling financially. Also encouraging locals to use the bar, etc.
Think we'll pop along for a drink when there is football on the telly.
I could give you a very very long answer but in short, yes and the SRU do didly squat to help. Get along and help them out, become an associate member and when nonot watching Hibs go along and have a beer and watch a game. I remember playing Forresters with Alloa 2nd XV a few timesQuote:
