It really hasn't, I just question everything and the "facts" as the media would have us believe don't add up in my opinion. Maybe I'll be proved wrong, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it if I am though I'll continue to wish ruin on the entire Sevco name and everything associated with it.
I’ll probably get some of this wrong as it was ages ago since I read an article but the jest of it was he didn’t train the same way as he did from around 2016 and use to miss training in order to save himself for games at times , he didn’t do weights and had his own something or other chambers installed in his house plus a oxygen tent which is stuff I don’t know about . I think Ranieri or Rodger’s at one point praised him for his professionalism / dedication..
I do remember that it said in the article he use to drink three cans of red bull ,eat a Ham and cheese omelette plus have an expresso which he said helped him run around like a nut job 😆…
From listening to alot of football podcasts it sounds quite alot of elite players are ‘poor trainers’, especially ones from outwith Britain.
Dont know if it’s a British mentality thing where we think in training you should be 100mph and smashing players, the old ‘treat it like a game’ mentality.
Whereas they say alot of players from overseas just go through the motions and do the bare minimum so that they’re as fit and fresh for the game as possible
I don’t know the facts but I’d have been surprised if a “poor trainer” would be able to get a gig for £140k pw in the Prem at 38 yo.
He may need to have an adapted schedule to get the best out of him at his age but that’s a different thing to being poor.
David Narey and Paul McGrath weren’t poor trainers they just had to adapt their training schedules to allow for not flaring up chronic injuries.
I see burke is on the move again in the summer, it's like his 11th club in 11 years including loans.
Aberdeen are rumoured to have signed Australian winger Nicolas Milanovic
I find the Australian league hard to judge. Good stats in that league but then wasn’t Josh Nisbet one of the better players in the league?
Nisbet hasn’t been a standout for Ross County yet is capped for Australia whilst Milanovic Isn’t yet. Then again neither is out POTY Iredale so not necessarily a good indicator.
I look forward to the implosion next season when Aberdeen are sitting bottom six and Jimmy thelin doesn’t have the incredible start like this season.
A lot of money being spent on players that have no familiarity with Scottish football.
We’ve all seen that movie before
In what sense? This was from one of his 2016 league winning team mates. The point I am making is that SDG and Malky seem to be putting a lot of emphasis on players character/attitude. ALF and Dwight Gayle both received plaudits for their model professionalism and being an influence off the pitch as well as on it. Jamie Vardy doesn’t sound like that type.
I think it would be difficult for most players to stand out for Ross County who are perennial strugglers.
I’ve probably seen Nisbet more times than 98% of people on here and there is no doubt he is a quality player.
Scott Allan was also a quality player but if you ask Rotherham fans they would most likely say he was crap and look at you sideways.
I still harbour hopes that we could sign him one day.
As for Milanovic if he does come to Aberdeen it will be interesting how he deals with much tighter Scottish defences.
The play in the A League is much more open and less frenetic than in Scotland and I frequently shake my head at the space afforded to attackers in the 18 yard in Oz.
2030 minutes for Ross County this season. The player with the most minutes for County has played 3404 minutes
Similar number of minutes as Iredale at Hibs.
All the above is according to transfermrkt

I think the issue with Josh Nisbet is not his ability but his height.
Its been clear since last summer that we have looked - where possible - to sign tall, athletic players.
I think Nisbet has looked decent when I have seen him for County, but he gets a wee bit lost when up against bigger teams like Hibs.
With Plymouth all but relegated I wonder if Ryan Hardie will get a move, 28 years of age and scores goals. I'd imagine he's well out of our range , salary and fee but will be interesting to see if he gets a move or if he will be playing league 1 football next season.
Will Fish also relegated with Cardiff.
I would be going for Bobby wales Kilmarnock, and Josh mulligan Dundee, two young good players, and out of contract this summer.
