How good is Tim Roth as Christie? I believe his performance in the final ep is equally outstanding.

I thought Rillington Place was unbelievably boring. Watched most of the first episode but nothing was happening.
You find yourself watching some strange stuff at this time of year and whilst its not something I'd normally take any interest in, Kara Tointon was outstanding as Maria in A Sound of Music - Live. (As were Alexander Armstrong and Katherine Kelly).
My favourite new show this year was Atlanta on FX. Donald Glover from Community aka Childish Gambino writes/stars. Really original and funny, similar to Louie in tone.
Also just finished The Night Of. Amazing acting and would recommend but it didn't quite live up to the first 2/3 episodes which were unbelievable.
First episode of the new series of Always Sunny in Philadelphia was brilliant. :faf:
Just watched a film called 'wild' starring Reese Witherspoon on sky movies from 2014 thought it was very good viewing
Devil's knot is next to watch then mud
I'm way late to the party but I'm on season 3 of the Sopranos. Do they ever stop eating?! Every scene!
Few episodes into the 2nd season of 'The Man In The High Castle' it's very good.
Just over halfway through season 3 of Ray Donovan, continues to be good.
I think it's great - I don't know many folk that watch it though. They're missing out.
I started on Game of Thrones just before Christmas. Now tanned the first 2 series and it seems decent. I had put off watching it cos I don't normally like stuff with dragons, monsters, zombies and that but was assured that they don't play a major part in things. I don't think that's quite correct but I am enjoying it.
I've watched The OA recently which was baffling but enjoyable.
Also just finished the 2nd series of High Castle and I'm still none the wiser.
Anyone watching Quarry ? It's decent.
I don't normally watch prime time TV but i enjoyed Taboo on BBC Saturday night, historical epic fare with Tom Hardy doing his borderline cockney psycho thing.
Series two will be called Mirage I bet...
At episode 6 of a Brazilian series called 3%. The plot and acting are so poor that I just can't stop watching it.
Cannae be worse than The Pinkertons, 1 or 2 eps was enough for me!
not saw it mentioned on here but has anyone watched 'the man in the high castle' ? i watched the first episode on amazon prime after the 30-day trial was up and noticed there's been two series so far, worth downloading/watching the rest from elsewhere ?
Just watched the last Sherlock episode on BBC.
Really up there with one of my favorites. The writers really do deserve a medal. It can be hard to follow at times but it really is superb and they have the perfect actors.
I know imuch late to the party but I've just finished the 1st 2 series if sons of anarchy.really liking it so far.
Really enjoying Stranger Things on Netflix. Acting is great and plenty nods to the 80s
We've been binge watching "The Killing". part-way through Season 2. Enjoyable if perhaps a little drawn out.
Did anyone watch The Code on bbc4?
2nd series of it and quite enjoyable.
Sorry haven't read all of this thread, at least in a while. Is Lucifer worth a watch? Looking for a new boxset to watch with Mrs J. The write up reminds me a bit of Dexter which we loved. Will watch the pilot this week which will give us some idea but any comments to stick with it or ditch it welcomed. Ta
Just started to watch the Dutch series, Framed, on All Four. Looks promising except for the main character not recognising his brother who has apparently transformed into a 'hot chick'. Still, artistic licence and all that.
I just finished sense8, what a weird but strangely addictive show it is. I watched the first couple of episodes and forgot about it. I started watching it again and at no point was I thinking this is good, but I couldn't stop watching it. Weird!
Took me a while to get back to it but, just started s2 of Penny Dreadful, continues to be as good as s1.
For anyone who likes documentaries on TV, the Discovery channels are apparently getting pulled from Sky at the end of the month.
For anyone that somehow missed all the adverts, s2 of Fortitude kicks off tonight on Sky Atlantic.
I'm doing my annual watch of Band of Brothers, I never tire of it, for me it's the greatest TV show ever made
TWD back next Sunday  hope Negan gets a doin :)
Just watched The fear of 13 on Netflix. Story telling at its best
I've just finished watching continuum and I started on orphan black last night. Orphan black has been quite impressive so far, it must've been difficult for that girl to play all those different characters.
Half way through s4 of Vikings, it continues to be excellent.
Just finished 2 seasons of "Happy Valley". Acting and script were exceptional.
Does anyone else watch Death in Paradise (not watched last nights yet)? Its so bad its good! :-)
I think the secret is not to take it too seriously.
Really enjoying SS-GB so far, Broadchurch looking like its back to its best too.
Aye, anything with Vicky McClure in it seems to be good (I've watched the first 40 mins, will watch the end after the darts).
Black Sails continues to be good too.
Inside no 9 is just amazing. The episode on Tuesday took you through a few emotions in 30 minutes and the message on the board at the end was very clever.
Watched the first couple of eps of Thirteen on BBCi player this morning, very promising. (5 eps in total, is removed from the iplayer on 15/3).
The ending was bollocks! I can only surmise that they were originally going to have more than 5 episodes, it was a tad abrupt to say the least.
Outcast season 2 starts Monday and Prison break starts Wednesday i think :cb
Is anyone actually enjoying The Walking Dead? I find myself complaining at work every Tuesday, might call it a day after this season.
I'm relay enjoying Homeland this series, one of the best in a while.
I've been the same for the last few years. They always manage to reel me back in with spectacular beginnings/ends to each season, everything in between is poor.
I've really enjoyed Legion, very different from your usual superhero fare. Also enjoying the last season of black sails. Sneaky Pete was an entertaining watch. I'm also ctching up with the first season of billions, some very good characters in it.
A few of my mates have been raving abiut Legion might have to give that a watch, Black Sails is another I haven't got round to watching yet.
TWD finale on Sunday, guaranteed to reel me back in with a massive cliffhanger, as you say beginnings and endings have been brilliant but the rest is quite dreadful.
The Walking Dead was dreadful
every time they had a flashback with the ghost of abraham i fast-forwarded..15 mins lost straight away, they are just stretching some utter crap storylines out to get a few more episodes out of it...they're conning us :agree::cb and raking it in, rick is a wimp now :greengrin
SPOILER ALERT, sort of
Yeah it was.
I know folk complained about the end of the last season, but I liked it. It left me wondering what happened, and I couldn't wait for the next season to find out. Last night was just.a bit...meh. No real cliffhanger at all, just basically carries on how it's been all season.
Prison Break starts up again in America tonight!
Legion is amazing. It's like a cross between Fight Club, Mr Robot, One flew over the cuckoo's nest and hannibal set in the x-men universe/timeline.
The main character is an omega strength mutant (his powers could destroy the world) who is schizophrenic and battling other personalities for control of his mind and body.
It's visually stunning, well written and acted with an extremely complex story. Not for casual viewing, you need to watch it.
It's the trippiest, most mind-bendingly awesome Marvel product I've ever seen.
It won't be everyone's cup of tea. For those that like the kind of thing...watch it now!
Currently re-running the first 2 series of Twin Peaks, in anticipation of the new series next month. :greengrin:greengrin:greengrin
TWD has now become a chore to watch but, 7 seasons in what else are you going to do? The shoot-out scene in the last ep sums up how bad it has become.
3rd season of Better Call Saul starts next week.
Anyone watched 13 Reasons Why on Netflix.
Should be shown in every school.
If it saves 1 child from suicide it's done it's job.
Seeing that I'm the only person on planet earth that hasn't watched breaking bad, and apparently my life cannot be complete until I've watched it, I am currently watching said series. Just finished season 2 and it's been pretty good so far.
I'm glad you said that as when you watch something that has become almost mythically good, it can never really live up to that. I had a woman in the taxi saying she was jealous as she wished she was seeing it for the first time again. I'm now going to watch series 3 expecting it to be crap :greengrin
Anyone watched Rick and Morty?
Better Call Saul tonight, I think. Also Billions is really good.
