I like them too, perennial losers, Allen has turned it round, I honestly think he’s up there with Rodgers and mahomes. Two throws today in particular were just unreal.

That could have been a huge call at the end there. My initial thought was fumble and having seen the 1000 replays I'm still not convinced there was any contact before that knee was up. Didn't matter in the end anyway. Enjoyed that game though and a tense ending.
I have a cousin in California who is a big Rams fan but I've never been able to take to them so hoping for a Seattle win the in the next game.
Never seen so many 3 & 0’s in a play off game. Gonna be a tight finish. Come on the Rams :aok:
So it’s the Rams and the Buccaneers who proceed.
Ravens Titans is a bit special in half an hour, could be a lot of points.
Some major trade rumors swirling too; Deshawn Watson unhappy in Houston, and talk of a trade to the Dolphins with Tua and picks going the other way!
I'm a bit sceptical about those rumours. It seems to stem from Watson supposedly saying he would work with Brian Flores and him wearing a Dan Marino shirt back in April.
I don't think our offense is a one man fix, even if that one man is as talented as Watson. We have shifted the biggest obstacle in our antique OC but Tua was always a part of a bigger project. We stacked picks and cap space last year and this year, last year sorted a lot of defensive issues and this year is about building an offense. A $40M cap hit and a stack of picks to bring in Watson just doesn't seem to fit with that strategy. In saying all that if it could be done for giving them back their no.3 pick, Tua and a late rounder I'd take it. It would cost more than that though.
Ravens did an incredible job shutting down Derrick Henry
I know the Bears ain’t great but the saints haven’t let them convert on 3rd down all game and nearly in fourth quarter.
How good is Tony Romo as Co commentator?
I know it's hardly a secret but he must be one of the best at what he does in any sport. Actually insightful, breaks things down accurately and explains them so they are understandable.
I hope Big Ben comes back next year, it was so sad seeing him at the end of that game, he looked broken. With no running game the pressure for him to throw the ball was always going to lead to turnovers and the Browns made them pay. It’s looking like a big rebuilding job now though. The call to punt it at 4th and 1 was ridiculous and Tomlin needs to have a look at himself for that.
The Jets have reached an agreement in principle to make Robert Saleh their new head coach. Will definitely bring some energy to the team and hopefully a couple more wins next season.
Here we go Divisional round begins. Who do you all fancy ? Go RAMS
Over now HB. GB defence has been near immaculate tonight. GB running game has been excellent. Looks an expensive flop giving Goff $140 million contract now.
Big decisions for the Rams off season where to go after tonights performance. Packers a deserved No 1 seed.
Yep put a Rodgers, Wilson or the GOAT into that Rams team and it would be hard to stop but Goff unfortunately is not the answer. Whether it’s Goff not playing McVay’s calls correctly or McVays calls being wrong at crucial times I’m not sure but time and again this season it hasn’t worked out.
Think the Bills will be too strong tonight in the late game got the matchsticks ready on standby and a couple of beers on hand.
:agree: agree about Goff.
Judging by the highlights and the stats, it looked like a funny game in Orchard Park last night. The Ravens dominated time of possession and total yards but two kicks off the upright and a 101 yard pick six gave the score a flattering look 17-3 Bills.
I really hope the Browns pull off the upset. And I think Buccs Saints is really tough to call.
13-3 Chiefs in the 1st. Baker has started well but this looks ominous.
OMG that’s the most Cleveland play ever. Just about to score, half a yard out, stretches, drops the ball, rolls through the back of the end zone, Chiefs ball.
Mahomes is an absolute joy to watch. Just hope his turf toe isn’t affecting him too badly.
I didn't realise Chad Henne was still in the league. I remember him not being very good in Miami about a decade ago when he replaced Chad Pennington (who was pretty good).
That is a genius bit of play calling. Worthy of winning any game.
Well the Browns deserve lots of credit for that. The chiefs have to hope Mahomes concussion protocol goes well judging by that horror Henne pick. But they’re in the AFC Championship game.
So it's Bills at the Chiefs in the AFC and Bucs at the Packers in the NFC.
Two really interesting games, two all time great QB's facing off with the Bucs going for the chance to be the first team to play a superbowl in their home stadium. TB12 just seems to go on and on, just let other teams have a chance already Tom... [emoji23]
No doubting what the big story all week will be though. Will Mahomes recover from his concussion in time for the game?
If he does it's looking like a Chiefs Vs Packers superbowl, Rodgers Vs Mahomes in the Superbowl would be incredible. If not then you'd have to say that the Bills would be favourites win the AFC Championship. I kind of want to see the Bills win it, with the 4 losses in a row in the 90's their fans must be hurting so much it would be good to see them get the monkey off their back.
Someone in New England needs fired - Brady looked brilliant last night and Brady vs Rodgers should be one hell of a match-up. Also looking forward to Buffalo vs Kansas City - again, should be a great game.
Wouldn't surprise me one bit if Julian Edelman ended up in Tampa next season...
Rivers retires after 17 years
Bills at Chiefs and Buccs at Packers. Conference championship weekend, i always feel a bit deflated at this point in the season...theres only 3 games left and then a long 7 months without any NFL.
I think any of these four teams could win it. Im finding it harder than any season I can remember to pick a Superbowl winner. The home teams will be favourite but theres valid reasons why Buffalo and Tampa will win too.
F it, im picking the Bills and the Buccs.
mon the packers, watched every game, backed Chiefs last year and Green Bay this year
even managed to pick up another couple of rules :) both ties this weekend will be braw imo
I'm hoping for a Bills v Packers Superbowl.
No idea how it will play out though, both games really could go either way.
I’ll have my official, Green Bay issue cheesehead hat on for the game. Hoping they’ll go all the way this year!
I kinda want the Bills to win it this year. I know they're divisional rivals etc, but their fans deserve a bit of joy for once!
Hey guys, it's been a while since I posted on this thread. Hope your all doing well.
I'm glad the route to the superbowl is going through Lambeau as the Packers didn't fare well during the last meeting
I'm still a little concerned about the defence being able to make a stop when needed but they have improved throughout the season.
For the other game I would like to see the Bills, I just like to see different teams having success and they deserve it in my opinion (not that the chiefs don't)
My brother got me a Clay Mathews card for my birthday and if the Packers win tomorrow night I will get another Jersey.
On the College front I haven't really been following it that much since I dropped my BT subscription but I have a friend who went to UNC and she brought me back a Jersey and baseball cap from her last visit so I'm now an unofficial tar heel fan.

Nice one, glad to read that your well :aok:
I've not been on the thread much this year either. Kinda lost my way with football just now. Jets suck big time and are a struggle to watch and haven't watched a Buckeyes game all season. Tend to just flick to Redzone on a Sunday and see what's happening then flick back to something else on telly. Occasionally watch MNF though if I'm in my bed and crash out. I did watch the first quarter of the Saints v Bucks game last week but turned it off as the Bucks were awful and thought to myself they have no chance are about to be blown out the water again like during the season. How shocked was I in the morning, just goes to show that I still know nothing about football lol. Can't get excited about the superbowl. I mean, I will watch it but it's normally a big social event for me, either going out or having friends over. Like everything else this year, just seems a bit flat to me.
Anyways hope your all well and good luck if your teams still in the running. Take care everybody :aok:
It must be a little harder when your team is as bad as it is just now, I missed the crowds more in the College games and they just felt flat to me That must be similar for some folk watching Scottish Football even though I dont mind it with Hibs that much.
I think its been a decent NFL season, some good teams and players showing their stuff.
Bills v Packers Superbowl for me.
14 championship games in 21 seasons for Brady is just ridiculous. First blood Brady 7-0 Tampa.
Extremely disappointed to see the playing field at Lambeau not covered in snow and the match being conducted in a blizzard.
Better pitch than ER though.
This is what I was meaning about the defending in my post earlier, can they stop then when really needed, I’m not so sure.
Brady is just superb.
That was ridiculous

Incredible last play of the half.
Hibs and Green Bay in the same weekend :boo hoo:
They took the timeout to plan the best defense and then left the WR alone with single coverage? With 6 seconds left? Unbelievable.
Brady not even having to work for this.
cheeseheads imploding.
Tampa/Brady have been ridiculously clinical. Tough ask for GB to turn it around from here, especially up against the GOAT.
I think I'd rather watch adverts over the sky sports guys. I forget how annoying they are as I don't need to watch them during the regular season.
At least we are making a game of it now.
Game on.
I know it's easier said than done but the Packers have to get the ball out of Rodgers hands quicker. Up against 2 back up safeties you want that ball in the secondary. Is that 4 sacks he's taken today? And been hit at least another 5 or 6 times.
How many holds they going to get away with?
FG on 4th and goal with 2 mins to play?
Can't believe they didn't got for that.
Time outs left but a couple of 1st downs and it's game over.
Brady only the 4th QB to get to two superbowls with multiple franchises
That was a clear flag but you want to see consistency. I'm not sure the 12 man call right after made that much difference but you'd rather not see it if you are a Packers fan.
Why didn’t they go for it on 4th down? It would’ve made no difference if they hadn’t got a touchdown, completely baffling decision that cost them any chance of the win.
Really wanted them to but no danger are the bills getting the better of the chiefs tonight
pray tell how on earth this buffalo bills side got to this stage, did they get a few byes ?
:)
Second Superbowl in a row coming the Chiefs way at this rate.....:aok::aok:
Just found out that interestingly enough this will be the first time ever two previous SuperBowl winning QBs will face off in the big game.
A disappointing night last night for sure, GB had the chances and blew it at the end of the day. The bucs have a crazy defence though but I think the Chiefs will better them.
i was reading San Francisco 49ers have increased their shareholding in Leeds United by a further 22% to 37%
that now values leeds at approx £225m, i know Radrizzani has big plans to make ER(Elland Road:wink:) a world class stadium
wonder if oor Ron knows the 49ers gadgy
Deshaun Watson has officially requested a trade. This could be one of the biggest deals ever, I don't think the NFL has ever had a QB who's one of the top 4 or 5 in the league traded at his age.
And the way his contract is, any teams looking to trade for him would get him pretty cheap salary wise.
I can see 3/4 of the league being interested. The Chiefs, Packers, Bills, Ravens, Seahawks, Chargers, Cardinals and Bengals and Jaguars probably will be happy with what they have, but every other team will be scrambling around to see what they can offer.
Jets could be in prime position, they could give up their two first round picks this year and a first round pick next year, as well as some later round picks. Texans get their pick of QB (except Lawrence) in the draft this year and 2 more first round picks, Jets still have a first next year and can then trade Darnold away for a second round pick this year.
Jets could even offer another first rounder next year if they wanted.
On the other hand they may see more benefit in rolling with Darnold for another year and using their draft picks to strengthen a pretty weak roster.
Going to be an exciting off season with Stafford being traded as well.
Lions trade Stafford to the Rams for a 3rd (this year) and the next two years firsts...
And Jared Goff.
I think it’s one of those deals that works out for both teams. Goff looked a shadow of himself in 2020, the weak point on a team that otherwise should have gone further in the playoffs. Stafford is clearly a better player, he’s 6 years older than Goff but Brady and Rodgers both showing 32 isn’t that old for a successful QB! The Rams give up a 1st 1st and a 3rd so they’re going for a win now strategy, the Lions are building for the future and have very little talent in the building so they need to build through the draft.
So now where does Deshaun go?!
EA have announced the return of NCAA football
College players aren't allowed to have their names licenced are they? isn't that why it stopped in the first place?
How are they going to get around that? Fake names for the players?
The Governor has just lifted the 10pm indoor curfew for boozers just in time for the Super Bowl! Happy days!!
I'm pretty sure the NCAA is going to bring out some rules allowing players to profit from image rights in some form. It'll likely be strictly limited and you can be assured that if the players make a little bit of money the NCAA and colleges will make a huge amount more.
I'm sure EA sports will be paying the NCAA a fortune for the rights to license the game, out of which the NCAA will hand down some token payments to the players to allow their names and likenesses to be used in the game.
