The up front fee was £2.75m was it not. IIRC there was also add-ons for promotion to the Premiership and avoiding relegation. I think we got about £4m in total. Still a pittance though.Quote:

More towards the end, I think out of frustration at how we were playing and probably the standard of player - similar to how fans felt. He looked like he was of a “I’ll do it myself” which meant he’d rampage over the pitch to try win the ball back, often exposing gaps and resulting in him making mistakes.
However, under SDG and with the other players we now have at the club, I think he’d be a lot more settled and his game would be massively simplified.
