Yes, if a president dies in office, the VP automatically takes his place. Next in line is speaker of the House. When it's so close to an election, it would surely create an issue, as many Americans have already used early voting and Pence's name wasn't on the ballot for president. Some of them might want to change their vote in that situation. Would everyone have to vote again, or, by voting early are you also committing to vote for the VP as president in the event of death before election day?Quote:
