That's how to "de-escalate". :greengrin

Do you think the patrol boats will have managed to locate and pick up any of the tax Jersey's helped us not get over the years?
Initial reports suggesting it's been a good night for the Tories in Hartlepool.
Labour have conceded defeat in Hartlepool
just to rub it in, how insulting is this to non-nasty people

again i say this is what some BLiS voters could condemn this country to for a decade, or two :agree:
Yep. It’s clear that a large amount the north of England want to be impoverished, see thousands of their fellow people dead through a lack of leadership through the COVID crisis as acceptable and are delighted to have cronyism running wild and as much as I have disdain for them, that’s their choice.
It’s also not our choice, we need to go our own way.
Independence is the only way forward for Scotland. Unfortunately we in England are lost.
How is Labour going to begin to get parity? Johnson is Teflon.

Why Johnson and the Tories are winning in England. There is no end in sight.

Yep. Bang on. Who cares if you’re in an hour long queue at the food bank if the foreign sounding couple down the road are having a more miserable time and going elsewhere, or those damn lefty women wanting fair treatment are getting attacked by police. The paper told me to hate them so something must be right.
That tweet sums it up.
Amidst the gloom of the impending disaster down South, I took great pleasure in watching John Bercow eviscerate Robert Jenrick and the Tory party on Question Time last night.
He sounded more like a leader of the opposition than the supposed one.
The Nasty party don't care, as long as their snouts are getting closer to the trough or in this case they believe they are.
Bozo's blundered through the pandemic and got lucky eventually, the electorate is just not focused on corruption or sleaze just now.
Many are distracted by manufactured anti EU agenda, theres a very pro Nasty media, the owners of which have never had it so good.
Perhaps understably many are not yet convinced by Labour's position on a number of fronts. The party, as ever, is still focussed on consuming itself from the inside out. The Nasty party seems to manage to conceal that better until they decide their leader becomes a liability.

Agreed, I think it's going to take a lot longer for the impact to be felt and for the gap between what is currently being promised and the actual delivery to become clearer.
It'll be interesting to see how popular the nasties are when furlough payments end and the true state of the job market becomes apparent.

I hope we're a bit better than that up here but we must be guarded against it. I'd hate for our country to go the same way.
The only way we can stop it is independence in my opinion. Labour would prosper in an independent Scotland but they're shackled to their counterparts down south.
Hartlepool going Tory. They should hang their hands in shame for selling out everything their forefathers fought for in towns like that. This is a government neck deep in corruption and incompetence, yet it can win in Hartlepool. What does that say about Labour?
wtf is going on..
