Depends where you're playing, I suppose.
If it's in the toilet roll aisle at Tesco, you can **** right off

Depends on where you're playing about and who you're playing with.
If it's in your back garden, you can do what you like.
If it's in a public place, I'm assuming this would be your one form of daily exercise. If it is then the exercise needs to be either on your own or with members of your own household.

Hopefully not a blip in UK figures.

spain records 738 deaths in last 24 hours
Global deaths reach 20,000. may they all rest in peace
Tennis? No offence but you’re having a laugh surely?
Exercise means a brief walk or run close to your home on your own. No golf. No tennis.
It’s an allowable concession to ward off stress and mental health. Out for 30 mins and back in the house.
Japan's relatively low number of cases and deaths is an interesting one given their decision not to order a lockdown, I saw photos of parks full of people together celebrating the Cherry Blossom period.
After visiting there I can agree with articles that say that the Japanese are, for lack of a better word, "obsessed" with cleanliness, however that can't fully explain how they have managed to avoid the explosion in numbers other places have.
For what it's worth, I agree.
2 people driving solo to somewhere, hitting a ball back and forth while 10 metres away from each other, then leaving isn't really a risk.
The problem is there's too many scenarios that people do to have an answer to everything, so there's been a really simplistic set of rules drawn up which for the sake of a couple of months (hopefully) we may as well just accept.
We know Prince Charles is isolating because of Covid-19 but it hasn't been announced that Prince Andrew is isolated with Jennifer, 14.
Sorry if I offend
And the sight of folk out playing tennis, golf etc will just encourage others that they can do what they want. It’s really crap but we just have to suck it up and stay home for now. Really hoping that these tests work.

The imperial college model, that was based on 13 year old code for a future flu pandemic, was taken as an absolute by the government and their experts. It wasn't until the data started coming in from Italy, showing how utterly overwhelmed their ICUs were, that Imperial college were able to update their model and the government changed their strategy.
Is it acceptable to go out to the park to knock a ball around with my 15 year old son?
:agree: I'm amazed they've not had more deaths due to their proximity to China, transport links and older population. However, I do remember when I was there a few years back and restaurant staff would politely, but forcibly, point you towards the hand sanitizer or give you a hand wipe.
young 21 year old lassie down south dies from CV, no underlying health problems
Assuming you live with him and neither of you are within 2 metres of anyone outwith your household then I don't see the problem. In the unlikely event that you're questioned by the police then you just need to explain you're both from the same household and it's your one form of exercise for the day.
I'm sure you'll be ok as long as you're not likely to attract anyone else to your kickabout. The problem might be if there's other people in the park with the same idea.
I'm pretty sure that can explain exactly how they've managed it.
Washing hands, washing surfaces. That will seriously restrict the transmission and if you reduce the early links in the chain you'll miss out on the crazy exponential explosion most other countries have seen later on.
US added 10k new cases to it's total which now stands at 68k.
Better news is that the expected doubling of cases in New York is slower than expected (4.7 days rather than each 2 days) and was put down to social distancing measures, which has bought crucial time for the health system in NYC which is coping with the increase so far.

That's interesting, because my little sister lives in Osaka and she's in despair over daily instances of unsanitary behaviour, mainly folk not washing their hands after going to the loo. Maybe it's just certain individuals, but she's even taking to yelling at people to wash their hands and she's very mild mannered.
