Sundays are so boring without football
Jarvis Landry agrees to the franchise tag so looks like he's on his way out of Miami. Bears apparently keen with the Dolphins trading up to 8th from 11.
Bringing in Robert Quinn from the Rams looks a good early bit of business. It's the hope that kills though.....
Griffin absolutely smashed the combine.
I'm really looking forward to the draft this year. In fact I've booked the Friday off work so I can watch it. Really interested in the Broncos pick as I've not seen us have such as high pick for a number of years. Will we get Cousins and then draft another QB? Will we go for a running back?
My 2nd team is the giants and they have the 2nd pick I think!! So who will they pick. A QB to sit behind ELI.
Browns have 2 high picks will they take another QB at 1?
The rumours do seem to suggest its a shoot out between the Jet and the Vikings now which is bad news for Denver. The Jets can offer massive massive money but not much in terms of a team there where as the Vikings have a great team and can pay him as well. New stadum to play in etc as well.
Wouldn't be surprised if the Browns take Barclay first then take a QB at 4.
As a Jets fan I'm tied, I would love us to sign cousins but not sure about the money that's being branded. If Cousins goes to Vikings which I think he will he would be daft not too especially when they are able to offer him good money too. Then I would like to see us take a gamble on someone like Bridgewater and maybe take a QB at 6 would mean more cap space to fill the gaps and hopefully build something. Its the first draft i have payed some attention too though and it seems to be an exciting draft / FA for the Jets this year.
What's the Jets guy visiting the Packers like? Sorry don't have his name - Wilkerson
Richard Sherman leaving the Seahawks...
Michael Bennett joins the world champions.
Really gutted about Sherm and Bennett. Still, the rebuild is on...
I would love to see Jets go for someone like Allen Robinson Although we would have no chance getting him when SF etc are after him, Unless maybe we signed Cousins, Sammy Watkins another. Although we really need to sort out our O-Line, Some really good players coming up on FA though.
Rams trade for Talib [emoji102] tell you what the Rams mean business this year! What a difference to the whole franchise when you have a head coach everyone believes in! Rams must be clear favourites for the NFC West now. 49rs building Seahawks rebuilding the D and Arizona 🤷🏻*♂️

I've no arguments that he's a very intelligent young man. His mouth gets him in trouble with his own team, the media and opposition players alike though - his threat to ruin an ESPN journalist's career for example, because he didn't like a line of questioning.
I've no idea what his major was, but I currently work for (and teach at) Stanford, and it might be easier to get to the top of a class than you think :greengrin
Not surprised we traded Talib. Fifth round pick as well so not a great pick to get back was hoping we would get about a 3rd rounder but gets him off the wage bill and Roby is a great CB so no issues filling the gap. Will need to get a new 3rd CB now though, will probably get one in the draft or free agency.
Currently sat with Darnell Davis, DE for Rutgers. Just did his pro day at the Jets centre. He's huge.
EDIT: apparently been invited to visit the Giants too.
Browns trade for Jarvis Landry from Miami. With two picks in the first 4 at the draft and a decent defense they have a chance to be pretty exciting this season. Draft Saquon Barkley at 1 and Sam Darnold at 4 with Landry and Josh Gordon as WR's, not too shabby.
Brown's also acquire Tyrod from the bill's and Demeryus Randall from the packers.
I never thought he'd end up in San Francisco. He has been a leading receiver for the 49ers for years I guess, so it makes sense :greengrin
Last thing I noticed was that he was supposed to be visiting the Lions - he's definitely made a sensible move I reckon, and it'll be a familiar geography for him. Detroit would be a genuine shock to the system...
I genuinely believe San Fran will be the real deal this year. The NFC West looks like it will indeed be a tasty division.
Delighted we've acquired Shelton - does make me wonder about some of our possible free agents right enough. Think Dion Lewis will probably end up going to the highest bidder, so hoping we bring in another RB.
Suh released by the Dolphins. Lose your 2 best players in 2 days and try to sell it to the fans as 'culture change'.
If you thought the Browns were bad this year.....
Bills making plays up the draft they are desperate for a QB Like many. I can see them doing a trade on draft day as well. What used to be an exciting year full of optimism around FA and draft I'm now not so confident
Amendola moving to the Dolphins...
Lots of receivers on the move, Watkins to the Chiefs, Paul Richardson to the Redskins, Amendola to the Fish.
Case Keenum expected to sign with Denver Broncos

Allen Robinson and trey burton looking like going to the Bears
Will be interesting to hear what my local fish fan says about DA going there. He was raging about him all season because he "cheats to gain yards" and is a "disgrace to the sport".
Packers release Nelson
Noooooooooooo
Why all these big name receivers moving on? Free agency so busy already!
Absolutely fuming we’ve let Amendola go. I’ve had enough of us releasing great WRs.
Jimmy Graham to Green Bay, does he still it Seahawks fans?
Looking like McCowan and Bridgewater for the jets and draft best available QB in draft no doubt Unfortunately Cap money means nothing when nobody wants to come to the jets
The only person going to miss Amendola more than me is Ryan Tannehill. :agree:
The Jets and Browns can afford Suh but I’m gonna pick Houston. [emoji85]

Jimmy Graham to the Packers
The 24 hours Drew was a free agent was scary. Glad hes back as a team friendly contract. Someone offered him 60 million all guaranteed over 2 years but he took 27 guaranteed over 2 years to stay.
Giving Cousins that big a contract is madness however by the vikings.
I thought that was crazy as well, I think he is a decent enough QB not THAT good.
Ha.
The Dolphins had dinner with Baker Mayfield last night and are meeting Josh Allen again this week.
Gase has said Tannehill will be his starter next year but if we do draft a QB in the 1st round I think it's a pretty clear message there's a plan to move him on sooner rather than later.
Bridgewater will be a good acquisition, but the organisation will need to give him some weapons!
What's happening with Robbie Anderson? He was arrested during the off-season - is he likely to return to playing next season? He looked a quality young receiver last season, but his off-field behaviour makes him look like a bit of a zoomer.
@Sylar
I personally think Bridgewater is a good signing don't quite understand the 10m for McCowan though. Think that's what is bothering me I would have liked to have seen us move for someone like Allen Robinson, Sammy Watkins although not convinced they would have wanted to come here anyway. Still time hopefully we keep improving its not been a bad F/A for us so far.
No sure what is happening with him going by forums etc though the Jets fans aren't happy Looks like the signing of Crowell has taking some heat of him though as fans are equally not happy with him either apparently tweeted a picture last year of someone cutting the neck of a police officer, The jets seem to have the problem every off season.
@Pretty Boy
Unless the Finns are looking to make plays in the draft then i cant see either of them falling at 11
Is it just me or has free agency and the trading been mental this year? Loads of moves, some pretty surprising ones and plenty of players getting paid way more than they should be! The draft is going to be interesting, I felt sure the Browns would take Barkley no.1 but they've signed Carlos Hyde so they'll take a QB at no.1 now you'd expect. Could see some frantic trading to move up in the draft for teams that need a franchise QB though, Bills, Broncos, Jets and Cardinals could all still be wanting to draft a QB despite giving some crazy money out to the free agent QB's going around.
The World Champs strengthen the defensive line by signing Haloti Ngata from the Lions.
Dolphins sign Josh Sitton, looks a good acquisition on paper.
I can't keep up with this season's trades... Is it me or has it been crazy?
Nelson lands in Oakland.
I really don't understand what we're doing in New England this year...Jason McCourty isn't appeasing the players we've lost, and those we're losing out on that we've been linked with.
Could make the AFC East next year exciting but for as long as NE have Belichick and Brady anything is possible.
Mad free agency. In a way I'm glad we (Denver) didn't sign cousins because that is mental money. All guaranteed as well which absolutely cripples the rest of your roster.
Not sure what Elway is playing at though because we got rid of Tabib to open up cap space and there's talk that we opened up even more cap space by getting Von to restructure his contract. What are they making all this cap room for? Suh? Matthieu? Who knows!!
I remember noting Barkevicious Mingo at the draft a few years back because of his excellent name. But can Pats fans tell me if our new linebacker is any good?
Jets being aggressive which good to see trading up was always going to be expensive but if it means we get our franchise QB then so be it.
I had a visit to the LASED Experience Center which is just down the road from my house. The guy in charge of the stadium project is Chris Hibbs and I told him about Hibernian FC and ordered him our home jersey with McGregor 24 on the back. He was also in charge of the LAFC stadium project, but the new Rams/Chargers stadium is going to be a much bigger deal. I also told him my wife is a Spurs fan and won't want Rams tickets.

Since I'm new to posting on this section, Have had a look back but only so much I can read can anyone just recap on who they follow? and why you picked them?
I picked the Jets because a program i watched at the time King of Queens and was at a time I only watched SBs so didn't have a team yet. Was a bonus they played in Green & White
I started following the jets as was in New York when the draft was on and the Jets picking Sanchez (butt fumble) was everywhere. Again helped they played in Green and White.
Green Bay Packers - Was new to the NFL after watching the Cardinals v Steelers Super Bowl in 2009? was looking for a team to follow and the Pack were a pretty unique team.
Chicago Bears - the team my dad has followed for over 30 years, and Chicago has a lot of personal connections for me :greengrin
Miami Dolphins - My cousin followed them in the 80s and 90s when they were good. He saw Dan Marino, I've seen Daunte Culpepper, Chad Henne, Cleo Lemon and Jay ****ing Cutler.
New England Patriots - started following them back in the Pete Carroll era, as I was living up in Rhode Island during this time and they were our nearest team. We were also absolutely dreadful, but the generations of family we have that lived in that area were all big New England/Boston sport fans. I definitely feel lucky to have witnessed the transition to te Belichick/Brady era, and I actually find myself looking forward to what lies in store in the next few years as that comes to an end.
New England Patriots. Had a friend who lived in Boston in the late 90s and kinda loosely followed all the Boston teams since. Started following NFL proper around 2000 so it's been all good :greengrin
Except now I live in Jets territory. See a few of their players in town as their facility is up the road.
The World Champion Philadelphia Eagles! My aunt and uncle went on a tour of the east coast of America when I was about 10 and brought me back an eagles tracksuit, I've followed them as best I could since then.
New Orleans Saints- Love an underdog and you couldnt really be worse than when i started watching in 2005.
Been over to 5 games, got friends there now and love the city.
Seattle Seahawks. I started watching football around 2010/11 and that was when the Seahawks won their division with a losing record (7-9) then went on to have the Beast Quake game v the Saints in the playoffs. I liked the glorious failure of winning the division with a losing record.
Mainly though, my favourite TV show is Frasier and that is set in Seattle so that's why I started looking out for them. Unfortunately, they got very good very quickly after that (I mean we took Thomas and Chancellor both in the 2010 draft) so looked like a total glory hunter.
Dolphins - some things are just meant to be :greengrin
Denver Broncos.
In the late 90's I picked up an American football game in the N64 because the graphics looked amazing. Quaterback club. I always ended up playing as John Elway because he was the best QB on the game and by default the Denver Broncos.
I started recording the games when they were on channel 4 and channel 5 watching the names I saw on the N64 in real life. Ed McCaffrey, Shannon Shapre, John Elway etc.
Ordered my first Broncos jersey in 2000. Terrell Davis running back!!
Have a soft spot for the Giants as well as sent to a giants game when I was in NYC and bought a OBJ jersey whilst I was there.
Dolphins sign Osweiler.
Flash Gordon :flag:.
I'm another product of channel fours coverage in the early 80s. Watched it every Sunday as a kid and didn't really have a set team that I followed to start with. Loved Boomer Esiason for some reason though and seem to remember writing some sort of school report about Cincinatti, Boomer and the Bengals so guess they were my first team and I still like to see them do well and look out for their results. Was just a kid at the time though so had no real connection to them and towards the end of the 80s my uncle went on holiday to Toronto and my mum got him to bring me back a load of NFL stuff. Turns out he brought me back a load of Jets stuff including my first ever football jersey but pride of place went to my new school bag which no one had anything like. From then on its been the Jets even though we've sucked for most of it. Still, at least they play in green and white and I get to wear my Jets jersey to Hibs games. Why any Hibs fan would want to wear the red, white and blue of some other teams is beyond me .
The Nfl are doing their annual'**** around with the rulebook' thing. Ten new minor changes, the biggest one being Pass interference will be a straight 15 yard pen instead of being marked at the point of the infraction, which I think is a good call. This one confused me though ' If there is a turnover, a team may win an overtime game, even though it scores on its second possession'. I don't even know what this means :dunno:
New Orleans Saints -
I had family living in New Orleans and they came over one xmas with Saints sweaters and a Hat for me. They were pretty garbage most of the time and our best player was our Hall of Fame inductee kicker Morten Andersen lol [emoji23] followed them religiously since and sadly today was owner Tom Bensons funeral. Hopefully we go all the way to the Super Bowl this season which happens to be in Atlanta and win it again for him 🕺🏻
Had Cowboys relatives and witnessed this live on TV in 1983 while in the US but I never really got into football until I went to see my first game last year. Now I go to see my local team the Chargers and will back the Rams too.
@DH1875
You the guy who sits in the east with the Jets Jersey on think he has Hibernian on the back of his, See him with jets stuff on all the time few away games too.
Some talk about OBJ getting traded.
Hearing form a giants friend of mine that they are sick of his playboy antis and general attitude.
Last year of his rookie deal and is asking for 20 mill a year before he will play again.
Should they move him on? Pay him? Who knows, an amazing talent but you would get some sweet trade deals and also would mean you aren't paying mega money for him. Other side of the coin is that there aren't many #1 WR available at the moment to replace him. Not that play to his level anyway.
Chris Hibbs the Chief Revenue Officer for the new NFL LA Stadium (Rams/Chargers) and the LAFC MLS Stadium wearing a McGregor 24 Hibs jersey. If anyone knows about building stadiums it's this guy and I am hopeful he might sketch out a plan for one or two of our unfilled corners! :greengrin

I am going to pick out seats for the new stadium on Thursday. The license fee is going to be breathtaking but it helps to know that the people behind this huge project are the very best in their field.
I would like to see a bio of the equivalent person in charge of the Tiny new stand project. :greengrin
For the second time this off-season, we're being linked with Johnny Manziel...though I'll be ****ed if I know why!
