I’m sure I remember reading that Jim Leishman was approached to play Boab’s dad, but he turned it down after looking at the script. I can’t find anything online about it but that would have been quite something.
Hibs receive a warning letter from SFA over Welsh’s Morelos comments

“The Scottish FA launched an investigation into the comments and the Edinburgh side have been issued with a warning letter“
:lolrangers:
Sticky buns raging on social media. Snowflakes. Job done Irvine!
Anyone with half a brain-hang on, wait a minute... obvious to most IW was 'avin a laff.
Brilliant hearing the sticky Buns are raging.

Welsh's comments were not meant to be taken seriously.
If he had genuinely intended someone to do what he suggested, then it wouldn't be the SFA investigating but the Scottish SPCA.
Hunbelievable!
Interesting that the huns seem to have taken on a new social conscience in recent times. They now seem to be the bastions of the fight against racism and threatening behaviour.
I'm looking forward to a new songbook from them when fans finally return to the stadium.
How can a PPV, club broadcast be taken to task when it was a guest that made the comments?!
I say Hun all the time, and I really ****ing mean it. Where’s my letter ya pricks?
Let’s be honest here, IW is very engaging, but not on a site that kids could be like watching.
Forget Rangers, simply not food enough from Hibs
The word's CONTEXT. Irvine Welsh was on Hibs TV and thus pandering to us Hibees. His wordiness on Morelos' cynical actions was delivered in his own inimitable literary way. . Hunspotting .. All woke and no joke.
It just shows is you make enough noise you get some kind of action.
We should try it and start making a fuss about the sectarian abuse directed at several of our managers and players at their stadium.
A warning would be a start.
It’s the risk you take when employing an alternative social commentator such as Irvine Welsh.
The context of his language is lost in the stuffy corridors of Scottish Football, who don’t want anyone to stray too far from the identikit pundit and the favoured buzzwords such as “shifts” “opportunities” “disappointed” “final thirds” “quality” “delighted” etc. It’s not like we already don’t get enough of that on sportsound.
Sfh, I mean Rangers fans getting offended for taking offence's sake. It was patently obvious to everyone that IW was joking.
Should have argued that it was a small minority of our Irvine Welsh's so it was absolutely fine.
