Holy Ground to be open to all again.

This part of the forum will shortly be opened up to everyone after an extended period of being open to Private Members only. Thanks to everyone who has kept it so respectful on here over that time. We felt it was only fair though to open it up again given that we are directing traffic towards here from the main forum on a regular basis.
It really shouldn't need saying but as always there will be zero tolerance for any racist, bigoted, homophobic or misogynistic posts. Thankfully that has not been a big problem here.
We do run a football forum here and we don't want to go back to spending as much time deleting posts etc in this place as we did in the past. With that in mind we ask that you please police this place yourselves regarding any childish insults etc. We all get a bit overheated sometimes, when that happens please just step away rather than blasting at someone. We are all grown ups after all. :greengrin

In advance of this - is there any way the hibs.net lite style can be tweaked so that if you're ignoring a poster their quoted posts are blocked too?

I've had to put up with quite a lot of unpleasantness because of this bug to the point where I just don't see the point in putting people on the blocklist.

I give it 2 weeks.

I was all in favour of the Holy Ground being re-opened so I find it sad that a handful of trolls are now doing their utmost to make it toxic again.

I don't get this accusation of trolling, people funnily enough think differently and have different opinions. There is a definite majority on here that think the same and someone who challenges that view is labeled a troll because they say a few things that annoy people. This is probably trolling to you! If genuine trolling I am sure the Admins will take action but someone who likes Donald Trump or dares to criticise Nicola Sturgeon is not trolling, people exist that like Donald Trump and don't like Nicola Sturgeon.
