No idea... but I would have thought it be in the low hundreds of thousands in terms of value. At the same time, not sure if/how Bevvy would have coughed that up.
Small in terms of the wider gate receipts, hospitality, and prize money, but presumably the largest of the ancillary revenue streams.
Seven up or Guinness
Always fancied 7 up as sponsors. I used to have a green t shirt with ‘make 7’ on the front and ‘up yours’ on the back. Wore it to the 6-2 game and despite the cold if we had got a 7th I was going to take my jacket etc off and wave the shirt in the air. :greengrin If 7 up became shirt sponsors after that, together with the 0-7 result, it would have made those shirts the best seller of all time.
