All electric house - heating issues :-(

I moved house this week, the house I've moved to is all electric.

I had trouble getting the heating to come on but that was resolved by changing the batteries in the timer thingy.

Thing is I/we can't find out how to get the hot water working.

We have a Fusion boiler, a danfoss thermostat and a Samgamo booster.

Help!

Only thing I can think of is that there might be an isolator switch. How are you with DIY around electricity?

I'm thinking of testing there is a current to the thermostat and the immersion heaters.

I'm a reasonable amateur when I know what I'm working with but being a 'new' house I'm not sure what does what. I'm 95% confident electricity is connected and would flow if I knew what buttons to press. At the moment everything I try says OFF on the timer thing.

If you are happy doing it yourself my next suggstion is start from scratch, find the installation instructions online and switch it all off, disconnect it and imagine you are fitting it from new, it might be as simple as a loose connection.

Any way of contacting the previous occupant?

If there's any heating engineers going to the game on Saturday I'm only 5 minutes from the stadium and have bacon rolls and hot coffee available lol

is there a way to highlight things on the timer controls, like heating? If so, it may be that you need to highlight it, then press the left/right/select button to access another menu to switch it on

No, I'm afraid not. The heating appears to be totally independent from the hot water. That's one of the things that's thrown us.

We've been looking at the tech spec of the thing in the kitchen (on line while in the pub, it's riveting stuff on a Friday night) and have high hopes of attacking it, sober, in the morning.

Bacon rolls come with a choice of plain (3 slices), with black pudding or an egg!

My wife just suggested brown sauce or ketchup being options but I don't want to start an alternative flag debate 🙃

Try asking neighbour? Maybe have same system?
