I was more confused as to why the mascot was a slice of toast.
Turns out it's actually a gingerbread man.
All four presenters are female. Are lads just hopeless at commentating on these events?
The women are excellent. Bright, personable and insightful in their commentary.
It's great to see current and former champions like Keely Hodgkinson and Jessica Ennis-Hill sharing their knowledge and experience.
But given that the sport is pursued equally by both genders it wouldn't be surprising to see retired male athletes in front of the cameras.
Maybe presenting doesn't appeal quite as much to men?
No misogyny here. My wife asked me this question and I couldn't provide an answer.
Colin Jackson is very good, I read his book a few years ago and he does so much research before an event to make sure he gets everything spot on
