When we live in a world where Donald Trump has a real chance of getting a second term as US president predicting what will happen next is not going to be easy.:greengrin
I see us heading towards a general election before the end of the year.
Shortest possible tenure before he drops another one or his own MP's force a no confidence vote, God knows.
He knows how to handle the Iranians though[emoji849]Embarrassment, but a symbol of how far we've declined IMO.

Real name is Alexander Boris dePffel Johnson, with a heart the size of a pea.
If there was a credible opposition he wouldn't be lasting long however he probably fancies his chances in a general election vs Corbyn if he tracks right and eats up the Brexit Party voters.
He might surprise people and do a decent job
He won't do a decent job. Well, he will, but the perception of what constitutes a good job in little England and what we might consider to be a good job up here are very different things.
Some might say Thatcher did a good job, the same goes for Terry Butcher or Adolf Hitler.

It doesn't matter how awful he is. Johnson won't simply step down and resign. He'll cling on for as long as possible. All the while, Scotland will be at the mercy of this utter cretin while we continue to be too feart to go our seperate ways.
Another Old Etonian. How many British prime ministers went to that school? We call ourselves a democracy, when, actually, accident of birth still plays a huge role in one's chances in life.
David Cameron was the first PM to go to Eton since 1964, so the people who 'fix' these things are clearly not up to the job. They even let a Kirkcaldy High School pupil slip through
Yeah, an academic "hothouse education" only available to the privileged few.

Then the next but one after Cameron is another from said school. In addition, how many Tory cabinet ministers (and of other parties too) were Old Etonians or alumni of other public schools? The idea of equality of opportunity, which all politicians seem to feel they must support in principle, is just a platitude. The class system is still hugely important in this country, and it's shameful. Accident of birth remains a very important determinant of what a person can expect from life.

So it's not just simply available to gifted children, but any child. (With parents/guardians who presumably have enough money).Quote:
