Will read the whole thing at home but I'd have to take issue with the idea that Hearts "proposant un jeu loin des stéréotypes du football écossais" if we assume the stereotype of the Scottish game to be kick and rush, hustle, bustle and minimal technical ability.
Quite humerous translation calling Hearts the "browns" I presume thats French for Sh**
Well written and researched.
Interesting to get a view from afar.
:aok:
Just "proposant un jeu loin du football" would've suited Craigie to a tee.
Historically Scottish football was known for small, nippy, skilful players (Wembley Wizards etc) vs England's bigger more athletic teams but that's ancient history a French writer is unlikely to know I s'pose.
I am not sure if the writer enjoyed himself too much!
Of course he found a Trainspotting character in Leith.... well written overall but I did have to use a translator for some of the words.
Realistically dour.
It looks to me like the guy that wrote it spent the day with someone from Edinburgh who showed him what derby day is about for a normal, Edinburgh football fan.
