A Friendly Reminder - Please Read

It's fair to say it is an emotional time to be a Hibs fan. We have reached a point in the season were we are on the verge of either a high like no other or quite the opposite. With that in mind the admins on here are aware emotions will be running a bit high, we are all supporters ourselves remember.

However what we are growing increasingly frustrated by is the number of threads that are becoming witch hunts against posters for being 'yams'. At least one of these has been consistent for several weeks now and despite repeated confirmations the poster in question is both a Hibs fan and know to us this has continued. Various warning on threads haven't worked and requests that any suspected 'yams' be reported are for the most part met with a deafening silence. So from now on any post that publicly calls someone out for being a Hearts fan that we see will be deleted. If there are several posts on the same thread doing likewise that make deleting individual posts too time consuming then the entire thread will be either closed or deleted. If you have a real belief that someone is a Hearts fan for such watertight reasons as being a 'supporter for 40 years', 'having a ST in the East' or 'joining in March' then report it and it will be looked at, as it always is.

There are people trying to register on this forum every day and every single potential poster is looked at. Many are instantly spotted as Hearts fans and don't even make it through the door. It's worth bearing in mind that whether you have 50, 500 or 5000 posts we all had to start at zero. The idea that someone should have to temper their opinion because of a low post count is a nonsense.

On the flip side it is absolutely no one on here's fault if things don't work out for Hibs this season. Emotions will run high and we will expect that but blaming each other isn't going to change anything, new posters and old (and admins!) should probably note that a bit respect in a debate doesn't often go amiss.
