Craig Gowans Memorial Game on Sunday

An old firm select will take on Hutchie Vale at Saughton Enclosure on Sunday 2pm kick off to raise fund for the Craig Gowans' Memorial Fund and the Friends of the Sick Kids Foundations.

Last year a Hibs/Hearts select played Hutchie and raised over £6k which was used to buy a minibus for Calareidh, a Community based house in Bingham which provides long trem care and respite breaks to children and young people with disabilities across Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Craig was killed when a net catcher he was carrying hit an overhead wire at Falkirks training ground in 2005.

It's a great cause, and there will be a few ex Hibbies playing including Yogi, Darren Jackson, Steven Tweed and Davie Farrell.

I missed the start but someone told me that Leigh Griffiths was there to support the cause being an ex hutchie vale player. Good for him. He's obviously still in Edinburgh.
