what a way to end a fight
15-9 over England. 3rd time since 1990.
Youngest ever race winner, first victory for the team and an fantastic drive to cap it off. How refreshing it is to see a young, little spoken of driver take a win (and a win in such style) in modern day Formula One - his emotions afterwards could have brought a tear to a glass eye. Superb, just...
Well done the yellow bellies, my second team behind the Hibees despite it being GAA, I've always found them to be like us in the sense that they regularly **** things up, seems they're on the up too.
Superb viewing http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_union/7745706.stm
Sam Curran had a nightmare in the first game resulting in defeat for England but, he has turned things around today, 3 out of the first 4 wickets so far. WI 31-4
England 10-3 after 2 overs.
About to start on BT SPORT. England won the toss and bat first.
i peice of suspension came off barrichello's car hit massa, dazed him and flew into a tyre wall and with the way surtee's dies last week and massa in a stable condition in hospital he was lucky to get away from it see: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/8168855.stm ...
i dont like basketball that much, but id have a season ticket if the atmosphere was like this :yikes!: :flag:
I've never noticed this before. What's it all about?
For the bowlers on here 1. What bowls do you currently use. 2. Have you tried various makes/sizes and if so why have you chosen the make you use now? 3.Does the position you play in the rink determine what bowls you bought or why you may have changed? 4. Did you borrow and try a few similar...
I'm watching the Rugby League Cup Final. Warrington are beatng Leeds 20-6. Warrington are playing in blue shirts with yellow and white bits, and yellow shorts with blue and white bits. Leeds are playing in yellow shirts with blue and white bits, and blue shorts with yellow and white...
Serious answers here please. I'll start it off with Biathlon or Cycling, both are deemed boring and kind of stupid by those uncultured people in the UK. :agree:
whats that golf course thats near the braids 18-holer and is a small 9 hole golf course and it is not the princess its another one? please help cheers.
As it says :greengrin
I've just turned to the New Zealand-France Rugby match, and the All-Blacks are playing in light blue, and France are playing in the same shade of blue that Scotland USED to play in. :bitchy:
Following the golfing theme, which golfer invented the now famous dog leg on a golf course?
A great year for sport, with some fantastic candidates for BBC Sports Personality of the Year. So who do you think deserves to win it? Can you give a reason for your selection? I am really looking forward to this years show, but will leave the room when Scottish football is on. Usually,...
There was a coach, I think in American football, who kept stats on all his players and picked his team according to that rather than who he felt were his best options. IIRC he won a few chamionships doing this.
Not long up to watch it after a few hours kip Hope all the Hype has been worth it :take that:take that
As it says above. Read quite a lot about this online and the change in 2008, but haven't found anything to say why they were closed in the first place. Anyone know the reasoning?
Can someone remind me why there are no matches scheduled for Murrayfield in this WC? I know England is the host nation but Cardiff are putting on games. Cardiff's not in England.
Good read in the Guardian - lengthy piece about how the All Blacks have sustained a winning team and a winning mentality over the decades. Some interesting perspectives in relation to how we coach football here. ...
Any Scot watching the South Africa v Argentina RWC semi will understand precisely why we hate the Engerlish. Not one minute or move goes by without the commentators referring to "Johnny this, Johnny that ", poor ol' Josh Lucy" Engerland are just "30 mates having a good time". The incessent...
A businessman was attending a conference in Africa . He had a free day and wanted to play a round of golf and was directed to a golf course in the nearby jungle. After a short journey, he arrived at the course and asked the pro if he could get on. “Sure,” said the pro, “What’s your...
With just 3 races (I think) left...will the new goldenboy Lewis Hamilton bottle the drivers championship? I hope he doesn't...but I just think his inexperience could very well cost him...he's only 3 points ahead of Alonso and there's also Kimi Raikonen breathing down his neck....
Is the fight on the tv tonight cant see it advertised anywhere?
Died aged 66. Bit before my time in a playing capacity although heard him plenty of times as a commentator. It didn't sound good yesterday when it was announced he was suffering respiratory problems and had to be placed into an induced coma.
Now that we're into the 2nd week and you've got a clearer idea of how well everybody's doing it's time to cast your bets about who will win :greengrin.
Day One In the men's draw there were no problems for Roger Federer starting the defence of his title for the 5th consecutive year. He saw off Dominik Hrbaty 6-3 6-2 6-2. Hrbaty actually went into today's match with a 100% record against Federer having won both of their previous two meetings. ...
With it starting on Monday, how far do you think Murray will get? I think he'll reach the semis.
The biggest two weeks of the tennis calendar are fast approaching and today the draw was made for the main draw of The Championships. Andy Murray will play Daniel Gimeno Traver in his opening round match, defending champion Rafael Nadal will play Michael Russell, Roger Federer faces Mikhail...
A wee break from the 100% football fix we've all had over the last 2 weeks. Wimbledon 2018 starts today and although Andy Murray will sadly not be taking part, it will hopefully be another enjoyable tournament at SW19. Personally can't see past Roger Federer adding to his tally of Grand Slam...
Entertaining match on right now between Rafael Nadal and Nick Kyrgios. Nadal won the first set 6-3 but Kyrgios has responded well and is currently 3-1 up in the second set. Things are never dull with Kyrgios and so far we've had a 143 mph second serve, an underarm serve and some brilliant...
Missing Sir David Gray on here, he would have had the thread started long before now. Hope he's back some time. My wife and I had tickets for Court 1 on Friday but we're both down with a sickness bug with no sign of much improvement so had to cancel. Absolutely gutted. Anyway, Alcaraz has...
Anyone else watching the BBC's greatest men's Wimbledon finals in history? 2008 final on just now between Federer and Nadal - in my opinion the greatest tennis match ever played. Can't believe it was 12 years ago now!
Decent start by the Windies, currently 123-1 pushing on for halfway through the first day. A quickfire 44 from debutant John Campbell was a good entrance into Test cricket. The Windies now have Braithwaite and Hope at bat. I really like Shai Hope, he's a great young batsman with huge...
Less than four weeks now until England start the first of their three Tests in the Caribbean. The squad selection or 'reset' as they are calling it has drawn a lot of attention, most notably for the omission of Anderson and Broad. I can't say I'm surprised about them missing out however. ...
I need a new one, but I don't like the plastic efforts my pro sells. Any idea where I can get the more solid type, with the artificial grass? I can't find them online.
