Whilst I expect Scotland to lose tomorrow, this day just keeps getting better, England denied a possible try in 2nd half injury time by the video ref to give Wales a 19-12 victory @ Twickers. I believe Ireland tucked Italy away too.
I always find myself surprised by how quickly this comes around after the New Year! Wales vs England gets us underway this evening from Cardiff before we take on France in Paris tomorrow evening, after Italy host Ireland. We looked OK in the Autumn tests but I fancy Ireland to win it this...
I told you before that if you are any sort of speedway fan or fancy giving it a bash sometime to get yourself along this football close season and enjoy the progress of this young lad. He is stylish and fearless when making his swoops inside or outside his opponents. I think he'll go right to...

I have got really back into this both playing and watching the past few months, used to love it as a teen and young adult. A great tournament this with with the Hanoi Open with a great final with Jayson Shaw beating Albin Ouschan 13-12. Mosconi Cup first week of December with Gorst now...
Not sure if he was unlucky or stupid? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/motorbikes/8099343.stm
I read this in a recent "Bunkered" magazine. 6:30am:- One hour of cardio. Choice between endurance runs, sprints or biking. 7:30am:- One hour of lower weight training. 60-70% of normal lifting weights, high reps and multiple sets. 8:30am:- High protein/low fat breakfast. Typically includes...
At Prestonfield :top marks http://www.groupon.co.uk/in/.qrQetP/,46384?nlp
Just wanted to draw the attention of my cricket-loving chums to the fact that this is the 75th anniversary of THAT Ashes tour.... 75 years ago tomorrow D G Bradman was bowled for nought, dragging a long-hop from Bowes onto his stumps..... Silly boy! :tsk tsk: BTW - D R Jardine was a...
That 2 yo horses recreate form better than any other kind (2 yo just run over flat as well). If a 2yo finishes 1st of 2nd then statistically it's got a 48% chance of winning it's next race. To help, get a paper (say The SUn cause it's a good paper! Tin hat on) Look at the racing page and 2yo...

This article features in the Nottingham Post today with Nottingham taking on Edinburgh tonight at home. It's a pretty damning, harsh, and I think rather crowing piece bearing in mind that in spite of everything, the Nottingham Panthers can't win the league to save themselves. Sadly, the Caps really...
Just noticed that A-Rod has chose to leave the Yankees (announced during Game 4 of the World Series, coincidence I think not). Would love to see him at the BoSox, but just glad that the Yankees aren't keeping him - anyone thinking we might start to see the beginning of the end for the Yanks?
Retiring at the end of the season. Love him or loathe him he's won them all and got some unlikely horses into winning positions.
Announces his retirement from all forms of international Cricket Shame to see this guy hang up his gloves and bat. Retiring from tests at end of current match with India and one dayers at the end of the up and coming CB series. Great player, especially in the one day games. Going to miss...
I just had to like this guy. Thorough professional who trains 39 hours a week, and is clearly the very best at the 100m breaststroke. Was watching an interview with him and his family, he dotes on his nan, who's his biggest fan. Broke another world record to win the Olympic Gold, and deserves a...
Anyone watch this last night? There was something immensely satisfying about watching Broner take a beating. You simply can't underestimate anyone in boxing. If you want to act like an exaggerated Floyd Mayweather then you have to be as good as him.
Hi, mates. Are here AFL fans? Do you know something about this interesting game? If yes, what team do you support? I am a fan of Juventus FC, and if you are too, can suggest you good site with breaking news of Juventus
Congratulations to the Western Bulldogs who won the Grand Final for only the second time in their history, the other one being in 1954! They beat the favourites Sydney Swans 89-67 in front of 99,981 at the MCG. I had good friends who are Doggies fans visiting from Melbourne in July and they were...
Anyone having a wee flutter? Today for me is 3.10 Nacart (ew) 3.45 Ping Pong Sivola (ew) 4.20 Pride Of Dulcote (ew)
Silviniaco Conti back to his best, jumped like a stag. Great ride by Fehily too, carbon copy of his King George ride.
Great win following a really tough Gold Cup run for Might Bite, never really beat much but, an outstanding horse.
Some performance from Kemboy, Gold Cup winning standard. 👏
Just around the corner and the Grand National seems like one with real quality in it this year. I can’t see it being won by anything outside the top 10 in the betting. Hasn’t stopped me having a punt on a couple of longer shots though. Few I’m on are: Tiger Roll Minella Rocco...
Anyone else looking forward to this? Will Aldo still be the same ? Holloway is a beast. I'm going for a Holloway win.
I couldn't believe my eyes to see Alec Marshall giving it the big 5-1 gesture when picking up his trophy at the bowling competition. I never had the sound up, so tell me please that I've misinterpreted his stupidity. :-(
i just phoned up setanta and asked why the alex arthur wasn't on as advertised. Was told it had been cancelled. Any1 know why? Cheers in advance
Got beat on points and deservedly so, he was rank rotten tonight and that will be the end of him. You have to have a word Alex. Good Hibby but lots and lots of minus points and not just from tonights bout. Shame.
Good guy, good career, and a hibby! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/boxing/23060678
Big roumours that Alex Arthur and Amir Khan will be sharing the buill on September 6th. No confirmation yet of venue or opponents, but Barrera could be an opponent for Arthur!
anyone going?? how much are the tickets
Dont know if this has been posted before but Alex Arthur is new WBO champion http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/7402980.stm
On Bravo, anyone else watching it? Hope he gets the s**t kicked out of him.
Starts tomorrow (well, the practice round anyway) and will run from Thursday-Sunday, being played at Kingsbarns, St Andrews and Carnoustie. A lot of the European Tour players will be there, chasing Order of Merit points, as well as countless celebrities (Samuel L. Jackson, Hugh Grant, Marcus...
A cracking tournament each year, the Alfred Dunhill Links gets underway on Wednesday (initial access practice day) and features an array of stars from the golfing/sporting and celebrity world. The event is played over 3 courses in a pro-am event, with each pairing rotating through Carnoustie...
A reminder that the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship begins on Thursday. Played over the 4 days at 3 courses, entry is free and there are an array of golfing superstars, as well as some top name celebrities on show. Entry is free at all courses between Thursday and Saturday and there's a small...
I took a wee trip up to St Andrews today to watch the first round. My verdict? - it was free admission and not even worth the money at that! :yawn2: The course was deserted, devoid of atmosphere and the pace of play was ridiculously slow. I've never been a fan of the Pro/celebrity format...
Really sad news about the snooker player Ali Carter being diagnosed with lung cancer, less than a year after beating testicular cancer. Getting cancer once in your lifetime must be a truly awful experience but to get it twice in less than 12 months must be unimaginable. All the best to him.
What a performance by the all blacks.....after a tough draw last week they totally pumped the wannabes in NZ. Many written off as a ageing team, they showed they've got a few younger players more than willing to come in and keep them nos 1.. Ryan grotty....take a bow son !
