I've not really got to grips with this since they changed the format a couple of years back, but I note that GB have reached the last eight after finishing top of a qualifying group including France and Czech Republic. Impressive stuff without the presence of either of the Murray brothers, who were...
Iím not sure if thereís ever been an F1 thread on here before so I thought Iíd start one.
Its the Austrian GP this week. A track that tends to favour cars with less power and a decent chassis. Iím a huge fan of Max Verstappen and I think heíll win for a second race in a row. Mercedes will always...
well done Eve muirhead guiding Scotland to a 7-4 win against Sweden
European champions, that's a 3rd for Eve :cb hope her favourite footy team get skelped today though :greengrin
our men also play Sweden in the final
No American Triple Crown winner this year then.
Good return to the track by Caravaggio at Naas. I still think he'll stay a mile but O'Brien's keeping him at sprint distances just now. Fav for the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot.
See a few different threads at times about boxing so thought we could maybe have one mega thread?current fights future fights? Any gossip, favourite ever fight/fighters?
I see degale has got his unification match against badou jack should be a good fight fancy degale to win then, dunno where that...
Great day of rugby today for those who enjoy their sportsmen to just get on with playing and not pretending to be injured😀 Just watched NZ cuff France, now Australia v Ireland, England v SA later, Scotland in Canada in the wee small hours. Alloa Rugby Club ball tonight as well. Will most likely...
Andy Murray just starting against Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Not expecting too much here, if Murray wins a set he'll be doing well.
Dan Evans has just beaten Thiago Monteiro in 4 sets.
Murray is live on Amazon Prime for anyone who is interested.
Fallon Sherrock hits a 170 check out to beat Clemens 5-3 and qualify for the next round. She is incredible....what is she going to do next?!??
This starts tomorrow with a (definitely not just another qualifier) first round. Scotland are in a group with Bangladesh, Oman and Papua New Guinea. Top 2 go through and Scotland have been in good form so should expect to get through, with the only threat being Oman who are at home and top the...

dont know about the NCAA though :hmmm:
Anyone into this?
I went to see the Knicks play in New York a few years ago (tourist alert!) and Iíd keep an eye in their results now and again.
I noticed that the season has started back. Does anyone else watch it or have a team they support?
Not something I usually bother with but I just watched some of it and it's quite addictive. Watched the qualifying for the mens, not sure quite what distance it was but the Dutch look so much better than everybody else. It's the women's scratch race on now, 40 laps and a mad sprint at the end of it.
McIlroy with win number 20 on the PGA Tour.
Andy Murray won 6-3 6-2 in the early hours against Adrian Mannarino in the opening round of the Indian Wells Masters. He will now play 18 year old Carlos Alcaraz in round two.
Not such good news for Emma Raducanu though as she lost in straight sets to Aliaksandra Sasnovich.
It's only one...
Peter Wright is virtually unplayable here, what a performance.
I just donít get it. Iíve been watching it all night tonight and itís a dreadful spectacle. So many people I know absolutely love it but Iím not seeing what they are. Most of the time itís grappling on the deck.
not my sport but i've certainly heard his name over the years, a Hibby as well

Pleased to report a net 69 / 39 points and a win for me in the first Wednesday Sweepie :cb Top golfer in a field of over 100
Body broken with Deep Heat, Deep Freeze and co-codamol needed this morning!
Only three months to go until the 2021 Ryder Cup starts on the 24th September. As in previous years, it's going to be very interesting to see who makes the team.
As of 23rd June, the latest standings are:
European Points List
1. Jon Rahm Ė 8,516
2. Tommy Fleetwood Ė 4,999
Some effort from Fallon Sherrock to defeat DvdB 11-10 in the semi after being 7-1 down. Lost to MVG in the final 11-7 after leading 6-3.
Few surprises already in the Province Championships, especially with Cavan beating Monaghan! Been some very entertaining football on show, looking forward to Mayo vs Roscommon next weekend with two very good sides hopefully going at it hammer and tongs. Live on Sky Sports as well
Anyone on here a fan?
I remember going to one of their games many years ago when they played at Myreside but it didn't really stick in the memory. However, yesterday my family and I were given some complimentary tickets to attend the first match in their new 'mini Murrayfield' stadium for a...
England 0-1, Burns gone.
Team GB going really well so far, sitting second so far behind China.
Fantastic win for Britain earlier today in the wheelchair rugby, winning gold against the USA. It's Britain's first ever rugby medal at the Paralympics and they're the first European nation to win a Paralympic medal in the...
Aussie darts player dies aged 33. Awful news.
Great to see Tony Finau eventually get it over the line in a big one with his win in a play off against Cam Smith. Huge admiration fir John Rahm tho. He was at the side of the green to congratulate the winner when it would be easy to leave in a bad mood after the way he finished. Class act.
Really sad to see Stephen Hendry struggling now.
don't know how to fix the title
Normally can't wait for the Olympics but just can't get excited about it this year.
No crowds and middle of the night UK times not helping.
I clocked a dodgy tattoo on the forner South African and Slovakian silver medalists inner bicep. I now see I’m not alone. His wife claiming it’s a harmless token about love and peace or some other bull. It’s equivalent of a German sporting a swatzika. Pull the other one.
Sorry if already posted, but this deserves a thread, or possibly a whole forum, to itself:
The sport you have played the most?
For me probably cricket.
Not a great start to the new year for Uphall Golf Club.
Who are we going for? Iíve put each ways on Rahm Thomas & MacIntyre..paddypower give 1/6 odds for top 12 finish
iíd also consider westwood & min woo lee but canít afford more gambles 😉
It gets underway tomorrow.
What's people's thoughts? Who's going to challenge the Ineos "Grenadiers"?
I have a wee sneaky feeling about Carapaz. I know he's supposed to be there to support Bernal, but it wouldn't be out of character for Sky/Ineos to change horses mid-race.
My favourite two weeks of the year is almost here and after last year's tournament was cancelled due to the pandemic I'm looking forward to it more than ever.
The draw was made today and Andy Murray, who has received a wildcard, plays 24th seed Nikoloz Basilashvili in round one.
Can't see a thread for this. Nadal v Djokovic an absolute war of attrition. Not to mention the contest of who can bounce the ball the most times before serving .. Djokovic at 17 times, ridiculous.
Murray beats Benoit Paire 6-3 6-2 in his 1st round match at queen's . Hopefully the long lay off works in his favour and he can have a decent crack at this and Wimbledon. Good start
Another very tough one when trying to predict the winner. My main pre tournament bet is going on Tyrell Hatton with two other smaller punts on Jason Kokrak and Tony Finau.
