England off to a flying start, Ireland 19-3, all 3 wickets for Broad.
First round in 4 months yesterday as Englandshire finally got its act together. Pleased to report a net 69 / 39 points and a win for me in the first Wednesday Sweepie :cb Top golfer in a field of over 100 Body broken with Deep Heat, Deep Freeze and co-codamol needed this morning! Aim...
To avoid hijacking a thread in the dug out: Wwe: Predictions for Hiac? I reckon: The club, new day, reigns (unfortunately) banks (unfortunately) and owens (due to either jericho or Hhh)
Anyone seen this lad? Not sure if this is the right place but it's basically an extreme sport he's doing all on his own. Hardest geezer on twitter his name is, if not, look him up. Followed his journey from the start and he's some guy. If he completes it, surely goes down as one of the best...
I’m not sure if there’s ever been an F1 thread on here before so I thought I’d start one. Its the Austrian GP this week. A track that tends to favour cars with less power and a decent chassis. I’m a huge fan of Max Verstappen and I think he’ll win for a second race in a row. Mercedes will always...
Great day of rugby today for those who enjoy their sportsmen to just get on with playing and not pretending to be injured😀 Just watched NZ cuff France, now Australia v Ireland, England v SA later, Scotland in Canada in the wee small hours. Alloa Rugby Club ball tonight as well. Will most likely...
See a few different threads at times about boxing so thought we could maybe have one mega thread?current fights future fights? Any gossip, favourite ever fight/fighters? I see degale has got his unification match against badou jack should be a good fight fancy degale to win then, dunno where that...
It started today with a TT in Denmark. Reckon Pogacar will yet again be the man to beat but Roglic and his team co leader, Vingegaard, will also fancy their chances Can’t see Ineos challenging those guys but hopefully Thomas and Yates put up a good fight
Just back from yet another fantastic weekend of Rugby League at St James Park, Newcastle. The Magic Weekend truly is magic (if you enjoy rugby league). Six games over two days, fans mixing before, during, and after the games, two days of glorious sunshine. Superb value for money.
whos looking forward to the season on both accounts then?? What are peoples tips on Play-off contenders and overall winners? Is? I feel i dont know the teams very well but i will be biased go for The Packers making the superbowl dont know about the NCAA though :hmmm:
I'm heading to this tonight at the Hydro and looking forward to it. I went in 2019 for the first time and had a great time and tonight's tickets have been carried over since 2020. Anyone else going along tonight?
Scotland v host Nation Canada in the final tonight, Scotland were so lucky to finally beat the Italians early this morning in an extra end, i actually felt for the Italian skip as he produced a brilliant last stone to try get a three in the 10th end but was literally 5mm away from the win, Scotland...
Anyone into this? I went to see the Knicks play in New York a few years ago (tourist alert!) and I’d keep an eye in their results now and again. I noticed that the season has started back. Does anyone else watch it or have a team they support?
Anyone been watching? Personally really enjoy watching the snooker and the World Championships is one of my favourite two weeks of the sporting year. Three names into the Quarter Finals already and two of them have been performing at this level for around 30 years - Ronnie O'Sullivan and Mark...
Just beaten Robin Haase in 3 sets in Rotterdam . I didn`t see first set which he lost 2 - 6 but in terms of movement and attitude he looked much better than the last time I saw him in Roland Garros . Played 5 matches in Challenger in Italy , 1 in Montpellier last week and now at least 2 this week...
Just caught up with the final without knowing the result, some performance from Ross Smith, will Michael Smith ever manage to win a major?
Gary Anderson getting back to his old self, two fine performances in the last couple of days. 6-1 v Ratajski yesterday and 6-2 v Ryan Searle this afternoon.
No American Triple Crown winner this year then. Good return to the track by Caravaggio at Naas. I still think he'll stay a mile but O'Brien's keeping him at sprint distances just now. Fav for the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot.
Any tips yet? When do the bookies start offering extended places? (6/7/8 places)
Anyone follow it or have a team to follow? Detroit Tigers for me, family connection.
Who we all on? I’ve a strange feeling Max Homa is the man. :aok:

Great win for Gary Anderson last night, beating amongst others J Klaasen, Luke Humphries, Van den Berg, G. Price and Ratajski on his way to the title.
Pip pip toodle-ooo, play up lads etc etc. But seriously, mon Oxford!!!
Hi guys, it’s about time I think to start putting up suggestions for this years festival. I had bet A Plus Tard to retain his gold cup crown before he ran at Haydock, his run was too bad to be true and was subsequently found to have a travel sickness bug🤷*♂️. Anyway I’ve forgiven him that run and...
Sorry if already posted, but this deserves a thread, or possibly a whole forum, to itself: https://twitter.com/SkyCricket/status/1310258272348274690
Great performance from Anderson to beat Wade 10-8, great first day of darts. Huybrechts for Gary in the next round.
Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez is reportedly now “close” to a done deal and being targeted for May 27th or June 3rd at Hibernian FC’s Easter Road stadium in Edinburgh.
The first Grand Slam of the year gets underway in a few hours' time at Melbourne Park. First up is Kyle Edmund v 15th seed Jannik Sinner. Personally can't see Edmund winning that one. A bit later on Jack Draper faces an even bigger test v defending champion Rafael Nadal. Around the same...
On BT sport if anyone is interested. Scott Mitchell v Peter Manley at the moment which must be the slowest (and heaviest) game of darts I've ever seen.
Great start to the tournament. Chizzy wins 6-5 with a 161 checkout.
No particular order here, because you can’t compare between sports obviously. Maradona, Tiger, Senna, O’Sullivan, Babe Ruth. Discuss. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I just don’t get it. I’ve been watching it all night tonight and it’s a dreadful spectacle. So many people I know absolutely love it but I’m not seeing what they are. Most of the time it’s grappling on the deck.
I can actually as a young lad at the time remember watching this and feeling so nervous and always thought it was a great sporting moment. Hope you enjoy a trip down memory lane 👍. https://youtu.be/DDNpyNHrmjk
Great comeback from RvB v Humpheries.
Potentially tricky first tie for Gary Anderson, last on tonight v Adrian Lewis.
LIV Golf seems to be gaining momentum and it seems it is here to stay. Every other day we hear about possible defectors from the PGA and DP tours. If they already have the requisite 48 players/12 teams of 4, playing 54 holes, how will the original format be maintained? They won’t stop trying to...
My favourite two weeks of the year is almost here and after last year's tournament was cancelled due to the pandemic I'm looking forward to it more than ever. The draw was made today and Andy Murray, who has received a wildcard, plays 24th seed Nikoloz Basilashvili in round one. Murray is...
Earl Strickland continues to be a right fud!
What a fight that was. Karate v Kung Fu. Well worth watching.
