  1. More on last night - sorry

Well a lot has already been said but given what can only be described as an amazing game there is a lot that has to be said. I have waited until I've had time to think about it and here are my main points:- 1. Great attitude for the first 3/4s of the game - they looked up for it. 2. Great...

  2. It's Only A Theory - A Conspiracy Theory

After Hibs lost 1-0 to Dundee United at Tannadice and slipped to 4th place in the league, it was publicised that "motivational guru" Watt Nicol was to be given access to the squad. What followed was a run of 4 straight wins, a 14-4 aggregate score in our favour, including two 5-1 wins and a...

  3. We all want yogi to succeed

I did not choose Yogi but was happy to give him a chance, when we went on the unbeaten run I still questioned his skills and like most thought we had been lucky to be blessed with great strikers that can score despite the opposition dominating the games. I was happy to let Yogi build his team. A...

I've been listening since about 7.30am. Both shows so far (Nicky Campbell & Stephen Nolan) have run features on last nights game, including a live interview with Craigy Broon. Yogi has officially made us a national embarassment!

  6. 11-1: OF Dominance Personified

I read an article in todays Scotsman that Alistair Johnston (current chairman of Rangers) has said they will only vote for SPL reformation IF it doesn't threaten the status of the Old Firm. This got me to thinking: what status? Winning the league without competition every year? Running away...

  7. We are not fit enough - disgrace again.

The team always appear to run out of steam nowadays. I don't think we are fit enough (or fast enough, for that matter). It's all very well them playing "tippy tappy" 2 touch football at the Training Academy........get them down to Gullane Sand Dunes for a wee change (and a kick up the erse). ...

Stokes in with a real chance of this, only 1 behind Boyd with a game left, certainly the form goalscorer of the two. 10. Honesty and Ambition

I am a swindon fan but also love hibs from my time in edinburgh. Hibs are like swindon, you feel you need to get 7 before you think you might win the game. Being 6-2 up and not winning there was always gonna be upset fans after that. Amazed to read on text Yogi quoted as saying " if we trained...

Courtesy of soccerphile.com http://www.soccerphile.com/soccerphile/news/comebacks.html I think Bayer Uerdingen beating Dresden in 1986 7-5 after being 5-1 down tops tonight (only just.) That was an aggregate game over 2 legs. However, we have probably just witnessed the 2nd or 3rd...

  12. No time to mope.

It's out of our hands but we need at least a draw on Sunday to have a chance of finishing 4th. Europe is crucial for the progress of Hibs at this stage and the team need to focus on this last game for one big last effort. Motherwell is in the past, get over it! Over to you Yogi.

Season 2008/09 - Finished 6th with 47pts Season 2009/10 - Finish, minimum of 5th 51pts as it stands. When are we Hibs fans going to realise this season has been an improvement?? Yes we have been in a DIRE run of form but if that for had been spread over the course of the season rather...

................even with the worst defence in the league, should have the game by the bollocks and should run away with a cricket score. The fact we couldn't, says everything about the total ineptitude of the guy in charge.

  17. in Smith's defence...

A goalkeeper should only really be called into action 4/5 times at very most in a game. He should be the last line of defence, doing most his work in the last 15mins when the rest of the team is starting to tire from giving so much prior. All night tonight smith watched his defenders woefuly...

Ok now that the dust has settled on this incredible game, lets look at the situation we are in. Last nights draw has all but clinched 5th place. We go into Sundays final fixture knowing that if Rangers beat Motherwell then a draw would clinch 4th place. Sol Bamba is back so surely this...

After lastnight's well documented debacle, I really worry for attendences at Easter Road next season if we don't sack Hughes NOW!!! 21. The consolation goal at 6-3

Looking back at highlights, once they made it 6-3 nobody ran into goal for ball there was no urgency, this for me just shows how much this was down to the players that gifts were presented and taken, Yogis substituting can be looked at as factor also. This wasnt a case of being outbattled at...

It might be premature after tonight's bewilderment, and I'll see most of you in rehab, where I'll be checking in on Monday morning, but the fact remains that a point at Tannadice will probably see us in 4th, as I can't see the professional celebrators letting the that defence off the hook at...

6-2 up and drew (and nearly lost)........ don't tell me there would be ANY positive threads on here. Tonight was a new low for Hibs and we've had just a couple too many this season under Hughes. Time for him to wake up in front of the mirror and GTF. Consider if indeed this was against...

On a day of doom & gloom just wanted to mention the motherwell equaliser last night, what a cracking goal (and it wasn't Smith's fault). From the highlights it looked like he had nowhere to turn or shoot, fair play to him for the strike. :agree: P.S Yogi GTF :grr:

  31. The one thing we have learned from tonight

Is that the players (bar smith) are not the problem, but it is the manager. That's Deek on 84 and Nish on 59 SPL goals and 5th and 9th top scorers in the SPL of all time. Quite a few years in both of them yet with Deek in particular having a good chance of making 3rd top goalscorer behind Kris Boyd and Henrik Larrson. Great achievement by both.
