It seems FIFA weren't happy with some Dutch girls wearing orange dresses. >>Here<< They considered it advertising for a beer company. I think it is appalling that these girls were thrown out for wearing dresses which were the colour of their national football team.
Looking to see some decent comedians this year at the festival and was wondering if anyone could recommend any worth seeing? Cheers

Okay, I know you shouldn't laugh, and if anyone here knows or was related to the deceased I'm sorry, but this eye-witness quote had me rolling off the sofa. Own up ('cause it must surely be a .netter), whoever said this: One eyewitness, who did not wish to be named, said: "I saw the police cars...
What's with all this buzz regarding Facebook? Everyone seems to be on it now. Signing up to it isn't something that i'm too fussy about. Always maintained I wouldn't sign up to it, but i've been told that there's now a group with over a hundred people petitioning to get me on it! Worthwhile?

Anyone else on here do the hardcore Scottish Stuff? Just wondering what experiences others have had in the North Sea, or even PADI's on holiday? Seen a few amazing things in the past year I've been doing it but there's rarely been a better sight than seeing a 3m Moray free-swimming, which is...

I know there are a fair few folks on here who enjoy cooking on here, so what are you specialty dishes. I've just finished cooking paella for myself and the other half - water infused with proper saffron/paprika (brought back from a friend who lives in Barcelona for 3 months of the year),...
Anyone on here go? Was there for a few hours yesterday, good few hours, magic wee setup on the go, good party atmosphere. Had to bail back before the tide came in but a good few hundred stayed and partied on through the night. Apparently a full squad of cops waiting at the end of the causeway this...
Tonights episode of Luther on BBC1 was absolutely fantastic. Idris Elba (some may know him as Stringer Bell from the Wire) was outstanding tonight, and the episode itself was great TV. If you haven't seen tonights episode or watched any of the show so far I'd recommend a visit to BBC iplayer.
Download the new Iron Maiden song El Dorado here http://www.ironmaiden.com/download/index.html Its certainly better than the TV programme of the same name :greengrin
My cat of 9 years died this morning - wife and I are devastated. We've had her & her brother as kittens since we got married in 2001 when we got back from our wedding in Ireland and adopted them from a rescue centre. The two cats get kept in at night and we found Kookie lying on her side, eyes...
I've just got myself a new job, about which I am extremely happy. Slight issue re: Hibs is that it is in Oxford, so I'll only be getting up for the occasional game, as the train ain't cheap. So, firstly, are there any Hibbies in Oxford/surrounding area, and secondly, as I'll be starting from...
