Anyone done this? We went last night for a works night out, was very good, enjoyable and fairly difficult but we managed it. Onto Brewhemia after it, was quite impressed in there too.
Stupidly , I fitted one of these self cutting tap kits years ago https://www.screwfix.com/p/outside-tap-kit-15mm-x/33139 I fitted it onto the main cold pipe leading to the washing machine but I fitted it below the actual tap for that pipe . Now I have discovered that I cannot remove the self...
I know there's a few people on here with a fondness for Orbital. Nice wee interview with the brothers Hartnoll in today's Guardian about the making of "Chime" here.
Alright folks, I have 2 tickets for next weeks TRNSMT festival, face value of £59.50 plus booking fees. No longer able to attend, Available for £50 each. Let me know if anyone interested. Cheers
Just been, it’s excellent. Really well done. Anyone else been/planning on going? I didn’t know Dougie Vipond was the drummer in Deacon Blue, I thought he was just a presenter 😂
Lull. Just saying.
A friend of mine thinks one of his group can't go now so he'll have a spare. I'm not sure how much he wants yet but I guess it'll be face value.
Place: Rannoch Moor Town: Inverness
Some strange karaoke host just accosted me outside Churchill's in Blackpool, gonna need to have a few more pints to recover. :-)
I got them for my daughter, but she’s sadly developed an allergy to them. They come with everything you will need. Free to a good home.
As a keen scholar of everything World War Two I was mightily impressed with these photographs! https://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/d-day-pictures-then-and-now_uk_5b17bdede4b0599bc6dec8d6
Anyone collecting? We've got quite a few doubles if anyone wants to put numbers up here could do swaps. (I can't believe I'm asking this at my age)
As the title says, I’m a tad worse for wear but just stood on my iPhone charger plug. Is there any other pain like this?
My wife and I are coming through to Edinburgh in a few weeks. We have a room booked in the Malmaison in Leith. What Bus goes there from Princess St? Or what would a private cab cost roughly from Princess Street say from Balmoral Hotel area.
Needing some advice folks. A very good good colleague of mine has discovered that's she's literally been shafted by an ex. She applied for credit for a new car and was refused. I helped her get her credit file and she was in tears at no less than 6 defaults - none of which she was aware of or...
Even as one of the main offenders, I have to hold my hand up and say I can understand why people dislike puns in threads. A clever one is fine but they tend to drag out till they get to the barrel-scraping level. Here's a poll to try and get a general view of .netters.
You don't know where you'll end up seated but £30. https://tickets.axs.com/shop/#/DIP77472-8345-45e7-b3ba-cc4eb71bce40/shop/search?skin=stones&ec=MSE180609
Proclaimers docu on radio Scotland at the moment :) ..or listen again on the bbc website
Has anybody on here dealt with this? From what I've read it looks like the area needs re-plastered, but is their any other options? I've came across this https://www.permagard.co.uk/salt-neutraliser-5-litre , although no idea if it would work. The affected areas only around 150mm x 100mm, and has...
Is it just me, or has the service gotten worse over the past few months. Parcels, letters etc constantly late. Stuff going missing, postie signing for things himself then posting through letterbox. The dreaded 'We are sorry we've missed you' card through the door even though you have been sitting...
I’ll go first All the stars that never where are parking cars and pumping gas. Dione Warwick - do you know the way to San Jose
Has anyone done of these? I’ve got to do one today but keep putting it off because I don’t know what to expect.
Anyone thats seen them at depot or elsewhere gutted to announce sudden death of lead singer garry borland a friend and an amazing frontman gone to soon Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
Mrs R took a few wee videos at the gig to send to her poorly dad and I took one of Sympathy because I love it! So that no-one who doesn't want to see them before the gig stumbles on them by accident, I'll post them as replies to this thread. I should say that the sound was infinitely better...
My wife and I were sitting at a table in a beer garden yesterday. There were still quite a few tables free a couple in the shade but 2 or 3 the same as ours. A couple in their probably 60s decided to sit at end of our table as in the sun didn't ask if OK or ask if anyone else was sitting there...
I've just had a ton of coal stolen which I was storing at a former railway sidings. Unbelievable. The authorities have been advised and we are going through the security videos just now.
Is anyone aware of the law when it comes to items abandoned or left behind when a company gets liquidated? I live near a former railway sidings and yard which has laid untouched in any capacity for nearly a decade. There looks like there are several tons of coal there, I've established that the...
Sometimes a combination of two foods cannot be beaten. Just had a fish supper that meets every need! Thick haddock, hard batter outside but yielding inside. Chips that are perfectly cooked, with brown sauce and salt. Brilliant!
I've got some German friends coming over to Edinburgh for the marathon next week and one of them wants to try haggis. They're staying at Seaton Sands and I was wondering if anyone knows a decent place to eat haggis?
Hot or a pain in the Bonnington Toll?
Film is finally out this week. Anyone else excited about seeing it? Going on Friday after work, taking my son although I think I’m more excited than him. Just the standard 2D screening although if it’s good might also go to a 3D showing. I’m also interested how much of Edinburgh is going to...
It's incredible how this has caused so much disagreement. A bit like the Gold/White or Blue/Black dress. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-trending-44136799 It's incredible. Without telling my wife what I hear, I played the clip to her. She hears the opposite to me.
BBC radio 6 live in Belfast. The breeders on now, Manics, Beck & Orbital still to come.
Theres been literally thousands of remixes of original songs, some have ended up being more successful than the original. Whats everyone’s favourite. I’ll start with an obvious one in run dmc https://youtu.be/TLGWQfK-6DY its not my favourite remix, but it’s probably one of the most...
PC Alfiembra suggested we need a thread for this subject alone so here it is. I may as well kick off ...... Who's/Whose going next?
Not only one of the most unexpected returns of the year, but they've just put out a new album called "Daphne & Celeste Save The World" and apart from a couple of tracks it's genuinely very, very good. They've gone semi-serious and hired in the producer Max Tundra and it's legitimately worth a...
Where is good to go in Edinburgh for food? Tired of going to places like Nando’s, F&B’s, TGI’s etc... Thanks :-)
Was there a thread about this already? I thought there was but I can't find it. Maybe I imagined it. Anyway, Liz Kershaw is getting folk to tell her about songs they sand the wrong words to and a guy just phoned in with the best I've heard for a while. He thought Feargal Sharkey sang "A...
Anyone gone through Dublin to US? Customs preclearance on this side sounds great (especially after the hideous queus6 at Atlanta last year)
Without mentioning what was being promoted, I shouldn't have had to say...
