The fitba' season's over so here's PP-IV prescribed as a wee bit therapy for us moaners until the new season starts.
I hate when temporary roadwork signs are left up when they are not...
On the back of the thread asking for advice when it came to getting a driving instructor - where do you start when you want to buy a car but know nothing about them?!
Iíll be more than likely getting one on a lease as I canít afford one out right. Itíll no doubt be a second hand car and an...
A question I thought Iíd never ask but if anyone had any driving instructor recommendations Iíd gladly take them. Never driven before. Go easy on me!
Also appreciate cause of lock down thereís a massive backlog. Still. Can try!
always had a soft spot for, I guess what you would call educational(?), jokes. Jokes to do with maths and the likes.
best two I've heard recently
My dad once told me i had a lot of potential, right before he pushed me off the balcony.
(not so much a joke, but I like it)
At the request of Alfiembra, here's the Driving Pet Peeve thread for frustrated motorists.
So, to kick it off.......
When you are just about to get into your car in a car park some Dumbo decides to draw in tight alongside your driver's door despite there being empty spaces everywhere around....
Feels like there's one every week, so thought it might be an idea to have the one thread 🤔
This week it's David Crosby. Eight miles high now.
Sad to hear that the Black Bull is shutting its doors for the last time in a few weeks. A bar I have memories of stretching back to the late 80s, others will have known it back to the 70s, billed as an alternative rock bar, it always had the best juke box, puggie and pool table for a relaxing night...
I donít see a film thread on the front page. Seeing as Iíve been watching more this last wee while, thought Iíd start a thread for sharing recent watches, whether the films are new releases, old classics and everything in between.

I've gone a wee while without listening to much in the way of new music, but there's been a spate of album releases I've wanted to check out lately for one reason or another and I've been pleasantly surprised.
Babel - Mumford and Sons: Develops their sound from Sigh No More and really cements...
Ewan Murray has been ripping my knitting for years. Last week's Hibs critical piece on the Black Knight takeover is just a pattern of snide negativity he's been writing his entire career, so its not a kneejerk reaction by me.
But this piece on Andy Murray is so vacuous and transparently about...
Iím on holiday in turkey and thereís a guy that goes around in roller skates taking orders for drinks and handing out ice lollies. I could easygo and order this myself, but it makes me happy when the guy comes round in his roller skates.
What are the little things in life that make you happy.
I thought there was a similar thread but can't find it. Anyway found a good thread online with many, some of them
I'll start with one: Johnny Cash was the first, if not one of the first, American to know that Stalin died
Chevy Chase played drums in a band that became Steely Dan.
Anyone else have these problems? My old man is from the old brigade who thinks pull yourself together is the answer. Never used to be like this and time in the army hasn't helped. However, I'm not afraid to admit things and feel no stigma in being affected by this.
Just wondering if other...
Itís almost an unspoken thing amongst us men and women, but Iím guessing that at some point in time weíre all struggling to lose weight.
I started my diet this week after weighing myself. I was 17st and Iím only 5ft8. Shocking stuff, but Iím sure that we can inspire each other to better things.
Looking at getting a new car in next couple of months. Ideally looking for something with a good/high spec interior and automatic. Price range around £18-20k. Brand new probably out of the question but happy with a year or two old.
Anyone got any recommendations of a hatchback or SUV type? Like...
Hugely unsuccessful band but massively influential.
I hear shoe-gaze, grunge, slocore and there's probably a few more micro genres in there too.
Great to learn to play to.

Passed there yesterday and all the hoarding has been replaced by what looks like fancy shutters.
That's a bit of a blow, by far the best in the area.
Just wondering if anyone uses this? On paper sounds like a great way of getting live tv over wifi but I'd like to get honest reviews from people who use it. In particular how you get on without the option to record or not having any +1 channels? I get that most things are On Demand now but how...
Any budding amateur photographers on here? Or professional.
I have started travelling a fair bit and am considering a book project. I'm pretty good at the creative side of taking photos but never had any proper training on the technical side (aperture, shutter speed, iso, lighting etc.)
This is a game I got from another forum.
I start by saying something
say:What is life
And then the next poster makes an acroynym out of last word of my sentence in response
say:Life is for elephants (but hopefully better:greengrin)
Meeting a few people post match next Saturday and ideally wanting to avoid the rugby crowds watching the Scotland game as we are just wanting a seat and a catch up.
So far we have the Guildford and Barony on the list but any other recommendations appreciated.
Forgive me folks but Iím having a bad day with this electric car and needed to vent. Also want to know if anyone else feels the same or if Iím just being miserable.

Iíve had the same pals for many many years. We donít see each other as much these days which is fine and to be expected but weíll all get together for a beer and a catch up every now and thenÖÖ.However not all of them turn up or want to meet up anymore.
I find it really strange that as soon as...
Amarone in George Street was the venue for my niece's graduation dinner. I wasn't overly impressed, then again I never really expected to be if I'm honest. Lows were;
Nine out of the ten mains being served together, the tenth person was told "we haven't forgot you,it's just not ready yet" It...
Spotted a couple of Moncrieff Builders & Roofing vans out and about the other day (no surprise given the damage caused by the storms). Green and white branding and a Hibs badge on the back doors. Interesting that they're so open about their allegiance as you'd imagine it might put some yams off...
I have resolved to watch more documentaries during lockdown, so I'm looking for some recommendations.
Watched the Console Wars (Nintendo v Sega) and Apollo 11 on Sky Documentaries over the last couple of days.
****ing double glazing but still couldn't sleep, up at 0400 and took dug for a walk, he looked at me and gave me the get to **** eyes. Thankfully my high fencing is still intact but not so good for my wee Sister as when walking the dog past her rear garden I noticed her 20 ft long and 10 ft high...

I own an EcoSport less than five years old whose broken timing belt caused such damage that I need a brand new engine for the car.
Does this seem normal ?
The Ford dealer wants £7000 plus for the new one.
I'm shocked that a car with 49000 miles needs it.
Any views on this would be very...
An American wine connoisseur made the mistake of reviewing buckfastÖ Hereís their tasting notes:
