Alex Harris

Alex Harris is a name virtually dancing on many Hibs supporter's lips at the moment as he continues to show a style of play that is craved amongst the Easter Road faithful. Although he hasn't been a first team pick for long, he's already made a huge impact by scoring the goal that sparked the Hibees revival in the recent Scottish Cup semi final when he scored the first of our 4 goals after being 0-3 down to Falkirk at the national stadium. Thanks to Alex and the other guys fighting back to win 4-3 after extra time, we've achieved back-to-back Scottish Cup Final appearances. That was Alex's first senior goal for the club and we look forward to many more.

Midfielder 'Boozy' is 18 years old and made his first team début when he appeared as a substitute against Dundee at Easter Road in October last year. A former Edinburgh Academy pupil, Alex has been associated with the Hibs' youth set-up since the age of 9. He has taken part in 8 first-team matches to date, including 3 starts.


He's already drawn national television attention too as he was mentioned in glowing terms by Scottish presenter and football fan Lorraine Kelly on the Monday edition of her show on April 15th!

As hibs.net are sponsoring young Alex for the rest of the season, we're giving you the chance to win his signed and framed home shirt in a prize draw. Entry for this competition is £10 a shot and the draw for this will take place on Saturday the 27th of April in Behind The Goals at Easter Road. These framed shirts look fantastic hanging on any wall. The winner will also receive 2 tickets for the sponsor evening.

All proceeds go towards youth development at the club so certainly a worthy cause if we can bring on players like young Alex.
hibs.net spent nearly £12,000 at the club last year thanks to our membership contributions, not least of which those who take up Private membership.
