SOL is a must for the Rott Weiss Essen game. Showcase match to celebrate a huge anniversary and a big German audience that will join in for sure. An occasion we cannot miss out on IMO if we want to raise our profile further

I think it's a suitable game for an airing of our anthem.
I would love it if we turned down the sounds for the whole of the while I'm worth section of the song.

The last time I looked I’m sure the twitter video after the Hearts game had 4 million views! Quite incredible.
Hibs should just randomly tweet it again to keep it trending. Every time it appears on a page with “is this the best football anthem ever” type thing it’s great publicity for us.
Plus imagine how much it must hurt the jambos seeing it over and over again with all the love the video gets!

Don't think a half empty stadium would raise our profile much tbh. It's a song for big crowd/big game. Shouldn't be diluted imho.

Agree with this. I get the idea of having it played at the game next week but it would be really flat given the expected home crowd.

100% correct. There won't be close to 10k in attendance and that includes the German fans.

I thought we had sold a decent amount, looking at the sales this morning, it looks a bit more than half empty.

That one was awesome, the place was full of joy and there were more than 30,000 Hibees in the ground. My personal favourite rendition.

Was forced to buy a new 'bigger' telly this week, so of course the first thing I decided to watch on it was the 2016 cup final. I still got a lump in my throat when SOL came on .... dannae care what anybody says, without doubt the best anthem in world football
I agree with those who say the 2007 rendition was probably better, but it shouldn't be forgotten we had over 30,000 fans in the stadium that day.

The comments on that vid give me goosebumps as well. So much love for it from the football universe (minus a few bitter ones).

SoL gets plaudits from across the world and they have nothing that comes anywhere near close yet style themselves as "the famous".

2000 fans in Villa sounded brilliant tbh.

That was an unusual rendition, not often we sing it without the Proclaimers playing in the background.

Aye ... if SOL has one drawback it's the violin solo in the middle which makes it kind of hard to sing without the music. I suppose we could all go ... 'Dah de dah de dah, dah dah de daddah, dah dah dah de dah, dah dah dah dah ... but it wouldn't sound the same.
Is there nobody in our support who can play the violin :violin: :greengrin

Think the crowd will get a significant lift given the news about the Pat Stanton Stand. It certainly deserves to be

I personally think the last derby was the best. Everything about it with the players lining up in front of the East - which was the first time thats happened. It was magical.

Didn't they do the same thing after the celtic game the week before?
Anyway, the SOL after hearts was far louder

No. Think it was a bit disjointed. The derby was the full squad - assembled by Joe Newell - and the backroom guys in the centre circle.
