Thought it would be worthwhile to have a thread to share travel options, pubs, etc. I have documented my details here for folks with maps of pubs and restaurants in Herning. https://hibsineurope2025.wordpress.com/

Good wee blog you’ve got there. A wee heads up, though, the European Campaigns page looks like it has lots of incorrect information on it. Don’t think we were in Europe in 2017-18. I don’t think we’ve played Asteras Tripolis twice. Not sure we’ve ever played Dinamo Tbilisi or RFS. Luzern is missing

I booked an Airbnb flat near the stadium.
Lots available in Ikast (where the stadium is) and Herning and at very reasonable prices.

Stadium is in Herning, training centre is in Ikast (MCH Arena is the stadium)
You've booked near the training centre I think?
I almost made the same mistake yesterday.

It looks like a 90 minute public transport from the airport.
I've cut it a bit fine with my flight times I think.
a) Does anybody ken what time the match starts?
b) Anybody booked transport from the airport yet? Happy to rent a car and share of anyone wants to.

Logistically would be a popular option I'd assume.

Cabin hotels are a chain, usually basic and can be relatively inexpensive, Scandic hotels are good and have a great buffet breakfast! Comfort hotel at Vesterbro maybe? Near to the main train station.
Hotels and cheap in Copenhagen are not words that go together that often!

Interesting to see how a charter works when there is potentially limited supply of tickets. You’d normally expect that a ticket would be included in the price of that.

I think the topic of charter flights was raised at a fan event and it was said they may be offered if we reached the group stage. More difficult to offer during the summer due to costs of securing an aircraft in peak season and short turnaround time between draws/ties.

Aye it was, I’d be surprised if they did one for this. They do have a wee bit time to make it work on that they wouldn’t as the rounds go on right enough.

There are still some reasonable options available.
Couple of direct flights out of the Wednesday sitting at £220 with Norwegian and SAS. That is obviously fairly steep one way but you can balance it out by getting back for a fair bit cheaper. Multiple options back to London and Manchester ranging between £30 and £60. Flying back via Manchester myself and got the train back up the road for £30.

I managed to get the SAS flight at £150 not long after the draw. Had looked at going via Hamburg but was a bit more limited as couldn’t take the Wednesday off so out on the SAS flight at night. As I say, the cheap return route made it possible. Same route home was cheap and the price of the trains in Denmark a massive bonus.

Might be worth noting there are regular passport checks on trains between Germany and Denmark.
I saw a woman who had the crazy idea of carrying a photo of her passport on her phone. Not American by the way.
The cops took her off the train.

I'm arriving at Billund Airport earlier in the day from Amsterdam. The quickest way by public transport is as follows I think - bus to Give St from Billund Airport then Train from Give St to Herning. Costs just over a tenner total I think. I imagine these times might work for you:
You can search more here.
https://www.rome2rio.com/map/Billund-Airport-BLL/Herning#r/Line-119-bus-train
Another way to go is bus to Vejle, then train to Herning. Takes longer, but more regular buses from Biillund to Vejle than there is to Give St.

Far cheaper booking direct than Tramline ripping you off. You can change the site to English. Less than half the price direct.

:agree: use this all the time in Germany - also check as they have tickets for groups of 6 or more that are really cheap (check if cross border) but effectively 6 can be same cost as 2 sometimes... if only we had such transport..
Wife trying to go to Sandy from Pitlochry £200 quid ish  in Germany that would be around 25 euro's
