Apologies if it’s already been asked and I’ve missed it, but do we know when our initial European matches will be played yet ? I’m trying to keep the dates free so I can travel.

Don't shoot the messenger here but I found this...
One of the teams we could get is Shakhtar
According to this fairly dodgy looking source the away game would be at the 15000 capacity stadium in krakow in Poland (due to the ongoing Russian aggression/War in Ukraine)

Interesting. They were playing their ties in Gelsenkirchen during 24/25 which while an impressive stadium is on the outskirts of a rubbish town. Their last tie there only had 15k in a 60k seater stadium. Krakow imo would be a much better trip in a more suitable venue.

Great location too, only 15/20 minute walk from the centre of Krakow.

Assume Hibs fans would be able to attend?

We are unlikely to get them as the draw is split unofficially based on locations.
The pool we are in gets split into two and we are likely to face the countries closest to us.

Any idea who they might be as things stand just now?

Looking at historical draws the regionalisation is very loose and applies to unseeded teams more than seeded. Also, the split is typically more North/South rather than East/West.

My guess would be
Seeded
Shakhtar
Midtjylland
Legia Warsaw
Anderlecht
Unseeded
Celia
Utrecht
Banik Ostrava
Hibernian

According to a poster on another thread I think it’s one of the following:-
Anderlecht
Midjettland (sp)
Lugano
Braga
Someone will possible be along to correct me on that though as I’m certainly no expert.

Thanks, I was nearly right, I’ve edited my post.
CG is usually spot on with these things too though so I wouldn’t rule out him being right a few posts up too.

Lugano would appear the best draw

Yeah, just had a look at this and there doesn't seem to be any suggestion of the second qualifying round being done by regions last season, Elfsborg got drawn to play either a team from Moldova or Azerbaijan, Ajax played Serbs while Kilmarnock got a smashing trip to Bruges!

I'm sure it's in the threads somewhere, maybe even in this one... but for those like me who forget all the dates - the draw for this qualification round is June 18th.
First qualifying round: 17 June 2025
Second qualifying round: 18 June 2025
Third qualifying round: 21 July 2025
Play-offs: 4 August 2025
League phase: 29 August 2025
And for thee of little faith, the conference league draws are on the same dates. :greengrin

Not doubting you but it seems bizzare that a draw can be ‘unofficially’ split. Surely it needs to be official or not at all.

There is a lack of clarity on it from UEFA & they state 'the committee may choose to use groupings' but nothing more than that. The main purpose of the pre-draw groupings looks to be to keep teams from the same country apart and to avoid 'Kosovo v Serbia' like draws.
7 of the teams in Q2 are winners of ties in Q1, which won't have been played at the time of the draw. Managing those permutations & regionalisation will be tricky.
As a few posters have mentioned, and based on groupings at this stage previously, I doubt they will have us in any kind of actual regionalisation. Their main concern will be avoiding the same countries and the political grudge matches.
