Off to Vilamoura for a week next week. Never been before but looks really nice. Anyone been before and have any recommendations? Just me and the wife going, we like all kinds of food really, usually like some seafood on holiday. Any wee trips worth doing?

Not stayed there but visited a few times whilst on the Algarve. Yachts, marinas and associated higher prices to eat out - pretty to look at and pleasant strolls of an evening. Good golf courses

Lovely marina with loads of nice bars and restaurants around it. As mentioned, it can be pricey compared to other areas on the Algarve....still cheaper than here though. The 19th Hole is good for live music as is the Irish Pub, which gets very lively late on....live bands, dancing on tables etc. For cheaper meals & pints, head back from the marina, ;loads of good options. Also loads of hookers about which can be a pain. They're obviously attracted by the many groups of middle classed, middle aged golfers getting away from the family for a few days with the lads. Boat trips from the marina into the caves and to see dolphins is good fun. Loads of dolphins around when I did it.

Get an Uber to Marufo 1 Chicken Shack in Quarteria. THE best spatchcock chicken you will ever eat. No frills, just amazing chicken & chips.....cheap AF too! There's also a great market near there every Wednesday morning.

Any recommendations for a stag do in Vilamoura?

We’re away on a golf stag, it won’t be too rowdy by stag do standards but still a group of 10 guys. Don’t want to go anywhere where you’d feel you were ruining other people’s night cause I know what my first thought would be seeing 10 British blokes walk into a restaurant i was in :greengrin
