Cliché, but he speaks so well. No nonsense, very composed. A guy who didn't put himself forward until he felt he was ready, aware before then that he still had more to learn before stepping up. It's no wonder it's worked out well.

As always, he bigs up his staff. It definitely isn't all about him, even though he's the biggest part of it.

Went for a walk up there yesterday. Hunters bog, the hollow valley above st margarets loch. View over the stadium is absolutely perfect for a marble statue of SDG emerging from the marshy depths of yellow flag irises grasping The Cup. Edinburgh council get it done!
