Are we staying with Bevy?

No announcements so far but the deal with Bevvy was announced as "at least two years" so there may have been a clause to break it, but until someone says otherwise I would assume it's Bevvy.

Europe makes us much more attractive for next year. Would expect a bumper deal.

Last year's kit was announced and on sale on the 20th June last year, we can't be far off announcing a new sponsor, if we are changing.

We announced Bevvy as sponsors the same time we revealed the 2023 home kit.

I would prefer a new sponsor, the club's stock is far higher now that when we signed the Bevvy deal, a new deal/renewal should be worth far more to us now (as long as its not the same sponsor as Bournemouth have!)

They should print the sponsor upside down, block7 style.

Would be great if we could move away from any alcohol or gambling related companies.

Why? If it brings in a lot of dosh then does it really matter?

Did someone here not tell us it would be AG Barr?

I'm still surprised Bevvy was the best offer on the table at the time. We took it for whatever reason and if they have another year or years option not much we can do.

Cannot stand the Bevvy sponsor. Sooner it's gone the better. Looks so tacky on our beautiful strip.

I'm inclined to believe it does matter. The balance is how much it matters to us vs how important the money is to us.

As to the general why question, gambling and alcohol can and do ruin lives, advertising intention is to increase sales of these things.

I thought it was someone hoping it would be as they were also founded in 1875. Could be completely wrong. I'd imagine their engagement with Hibs could be fun. We're all fannies 🤣

Have you looked at the bevvy site?

It doesn't really advertise alcohol, if you are interested in a whiskey, look it up.
The site will give an estimated value of the product as well as other information about the whiskey itself.
Like the Macallan 64 year old for £400 a bottle, no idea where you would buy it, the site doesn't say

Whiskey? Whiskey?

Or

Maybe get an Aussie firm, plenty of their players here and then having the logo upside-down would make sense.

Guinness, bring back the harp

I like the idea of Guinness and the harp and for those that don’t like alcohol it could be Guinness 0.0. As long as we don’t have too many score lines like that!

Honestly, I've not.

My comment was about gambling/alcohol in general though, fair enough there are maybe some exceptions and arguably our current sponsor could fit that bill.

I'll look that up. That sounds incredibly cheap for that age of Whisky; I once had a dram of macallan 30 year which was meant to retail for c.£5k... it wasn't very nice to be honest.

I like the idea of Guinness sponsoring the Stadium. Get a massive big illuminated harp each end of each stand for those European nights lovely.

Would love to see us play without strip sponsors . I`m sure we`d sell more shirts etc but probably not enough more to compensate for loss of sponsorship .
With the 150th celebrations it`d be great to see a shirt without sponsor`s name on it . Maybe shirts sold by club could go with a list of companies which sponsor Hibs . that way smaller local companies would get more credit . I remember when we were famous for being pioneers in shirt sponsorship . Would be great publicity for club if we became famous for not wanting our strips associated with any company .

Also not mad keen on the Bevvy name on the front. As you say, feels a wee bit on the tacky side.

As I’m sure was mentioned elsewhere - indeed I’ve mentioned in I. Times gone by… Eddie Turnbull also from Carronshore iirc.

In 1875, Robert Barr founded A.G. Barr in Falkirk, Scotland, establishing the company that would eventually become known for its iconic soft drink Irn-Bru

Indeed, even after almost quarter of a century over here I wouldn't make that spelling error :greengrin
