Great wee story. The lad's face! Numerous times. Hope his care gets sorted.

Brilliant to see. Well done to everyone at the club who made this possible. Had a tear in my eye watching it, and another thing the club is doing that makes me so proud to be a Hibby ! :top marks

A lovely watch. With his recent visit to HTC and now this, the club have done so much to make his dreams a reality.

Sincerely hope the campaigning his parents are doing, bears fruit.

It’s so good what Hibs have done to give Sam more smiles. The family have created a Facebook page to give up to date info on what Sam is doing https://www.facebook.com/share/1ATdSgcvQn/?mibextid=wwXIfr

Is there a fund to help get the drugs he needs?

Is there a fund to help get the drugs he needs?

The drugs he and other children need are free on the nhs, sadly the nhs aren’t providing it because they need the expanded access programme to be set up and at the moment it’s not happening.

Here is some info from the Facebook page his family have set up-

Sam's Fund
After raising awareness of Sam's story through various different media sources and campaigning for treatment. We have received a massive outpouring of love and support for Sam, with lots of our family, friends and some we have never met before have shown a keen interest in raising funds for Sam for whatever he needs. We have decided to set up a fund for Sam, we will be holding some fundraisers, competitions and taking part in a couple of events to raise funds for our little superhero.

Sam's fund will be used solely for Sam himself and his medical needs, with DMD we don't know what the future holds for Sam, but we do know that with high standards of care there is hope that it can keep Sam on his feet for longer but there is only so much the NHS can offer. We have to fund any private treatments ourselves. We want the best for our boy and want to preserve his independence for as long as possible, funds raised for Sam will be used to aid private treatments that will help him such as hydrotherapy, swimming, and will also go towards Sam's needs of medical equipment to keep him comfortable and enjoying the things he loves but struggles with, amongst other things. If you would like to take part in any of the competitions, please just follow the competition instructions provided on each post. Please do not feel pressured into taking part, your love and support for Sam is much more important to us
