Just finished watching BBC news at 7.40am. I live in England.
Sports section starts with Crystal Palace and then leads on to Arsenal.
On we go to Chelsea Ladies and finishes with golf.
Not a sniff about Hibs Ladies being crowned Champions of Scotland !!! FFS.
I pay a fee the same as any other person here in England (or UK) Why the Donald Duck do they miss us out ? !
My wife has pleaded with me to do something about it because she thinks I'm going to harm myself , I go awfy red in the face and start roaring at the telly.
Oh by the way Ladies, you made me so so proud.

Maybe just let it wash past you 😁
In fairness it was covered on Radio 5 Live this morning so it's not like the BBC have fully ignored it.
They also failed to mention Hearts winning so they will have 400,000 complaints coming in 😁

It's a fact Scotland doesn't register down south, watching BBC or itv this morning proves that ....

Well I did see it being mentioned on BBC Scotland yesterday but I didn't hear any mention of the Women's Final down south.
The Hibs result was also featured prominently on Sky Sports news.

I heard it on Robbie Savage and Chris Suttons phone in on 5 live, just after the chelsea womens result. They congratulated us. I actually think we get decent UKwide coverage, its often BBC Scotland that patronises and is just poor quality.
It would be refreshing if this thread just sticked to whether our journalism is fit for purpose and not get shunted because of perceived anti-Englishless.

BBC Breakfast covered it at 6.40 to be fair, then must have left it out the later sports bit.

I had BBC Breakfast on this morning when I was getting ready for work and unless I totally invented it in my head there was a decent piece about Hibs on it, during the sports news.

I actually think the national coverage of our title win has been pretty good.
And to be fair, the profile of the women's game in Scotland is pretty lightweight in terms of investment and attendances compared to England and other countries which have truly embraced the game. How many posters on .net, or indeed Hibs fans in general, have actually been to a women's game or watched them on TV?
Brilliant as their achievement was I'm not sure its newsworthiness merited more coverage than it's got. Hopefully it will help raise the profile of the game in Scotland tho because they deserve it. I'd encourage more fans to support our women's team.

What time did you see the piece ?
If by going what other posters have said it was covered and so I stand corrected.

How will our game be fully embraced if it lacks decent coverage ?
Ladies football in England was once small and it has grown. In put from TV.
Also four full time women's teams now in Scotland. The clubs are investing, how about the media ?
Was the game shown live yesterday in Scotland by the BBC ?( Not counting Alba)

About 6.30ish, maybe just after.
I didn't see the later coverage though so may we'll have been omitted from that.

I don't disagree with you but the game didn't become high profile in England overnight. It's been at least a decade in the making, with serious investment from clubs, the FA, government and sponsors.
We're light years behind and, as with the men's game, the money's just not there in comparison. Our 'full time' players aren't earning what most would regard as a full-time wage.
I'd give Sky credit for their coverage yesterday - it's certainly a platform with better reach than Alba.

BBC News channel reported it on their Sports Day show at 6:30pm yesterday. Showed the goal and lifting the trophy.

I’m one that doesn’t have any real interest in it, but I agree it seems to have been fairly well covered. Even for someone like myself, who hasn’t actively been looking for anything to do with it, I’ve come across different content on it.
