Same here, soft spot for them, great fans, used to go to the odd game at selhurst park, worked for their sponsor at the time.

The faces said it all, tears! Pep classless, not the goalkeeper's fault for not being sent off😅

It means something to them, a moment in their clubs history. Far better outcome than another Man City plastic title.

It’s what football is all about. Buzzing for them.
A few folk I have so much time for, James Buckley (Jay from Inbetweeners) and Rob Pearson (PlayStation Uk genius) are Palace fans. They'll be loving it tonight. Same as all of us were in 2016.
Enjoy!

First major trophy since they were formed 164 years ago. I honestly didn't know they'd never won a major trophy before.
Delighted for them.

Celebration is nothing like Sunshine on Leith though

164 years? Weren't they formed in 1905?

Couldn't agree more. Nice that it isn't one of the usual suspects picking up the cup! Palace fans will remember this day forever.

This is a needless comment We know!! But other teams are allowed to celebrate in their own way... As said above great to see other teams fans celebrating winning stuff.

The greatest moment in their history. Well done to them, they defended superbly.
Great to see an unfashionable club win for their fans.

Didn’t realise it was Palace’ first ever Major Trophy so even happier for them, sure their fans will love tonight, and tomorrow !

It must be said that Henderson was MOTM but should have been sent off. Massive decision went the way of Palace. I don’t know how the VAR team came to their decision.

My Grandad spent some time working on London on the 70s and adopted Palace as his team so always look out for their results.
I just like to see a team win something when it really means something. 15-20 years ago that would have been the case for City, now all they want is the league of CL. For Palace fans that is something they will remember forever and who can grudge them that?

It's incredible how the public mood has shifted against city. Understandable I suppose, but 20 years ago they were practically everyone's second favourite team, the "proper", 'real' football club of Manchester. Now it's plastic this and fake that.
I'm not saying I disagree with that perception considering everything they have become over the last 15 years, it's just crazy to see the change

Does that mean they go directly into Europa group stage or do they have to qualify?
We will probably end up getting them then if they have to qualify.

I was originally trying to do a double with Palace and the UK to get Nil Points on Eurovision (5/2), but ended putting £10 on Palace instead.

Horrible game to watch. It always is when one team "parks the bus" I think a case of Bollinger Champagne is probably on its way to the VAR Official

I must say, it gave me flashbacks to may 2016, seeing the relief, outpouring of emotion, sheer joy amongst every generation of fan.
Delighted for them.

Gordon Smart got a good mention on Hibs Scottish Cup win on 5 Live this morning. Mentioned Glad All Over and Sunshine on Leith!

I've been telling everyone for a couple of weeks to back Eze to score and palace to win. And travelling to the game yesterday I was even telling the others in the car, did I put the bet on, did I buggery, completely forgot about it when we got to the persevere. 🤡🤡🤡

Enjoying some of the clips on social media of Palace fans at the final whistle and the celebrations. 2016 vibes. The parade in south London will be memorable.
