One of the best goalkeeping performances I’ve seen at ER.

Will more than happily admit I was totally wrong about Smith. I had the fear about him coming in to replace Bursik several months ago, writing him off as a standard career-2nd choice.

I’m only too happy to apologise profusely. He might make the odd error (but EVERY keeper does), but the guy has been amazing. Totally gets Hibs as well and you can see that, like others, he loves playing for us.

There definitely is unless we want to go into next season with one goalie😂

Smith needs a quality back up.

Distribution is the one area that let's him down but he's a cracking shot stopper

Gifted them a goal because he knew he was about to pull out an all timer performance after the fact and wanted to give them a chance.

Seriously though, the guy has been a revelation. More than earned his chance to hang on to that number 1 spot regardless of who we bring in. Just need to keep it up.

That was a howler early on but for the following 89 minutes or so, imperious. Some of his saves low down were absolutely top drawer.

I love the guy and hes a proper Hibs man now.
Finishes the season 2nd best save %. 74.7 is extremely unusual. 8 saves today.

Credit has to go to the defence for that as well. Closing down the shooting angles, making the goal appear smaller. You combine that with a goalkeeper who makes himself look big and you have stats like that.

Usually his distribution, especially to the Caddens and Campbell is decent, but I actually thought our Midfield were difficult to pick out in the first half which had a hand in his error.

Apart from that, really excellent.

He's an incredible keeper at times. Of course he has moments that are less than ideal, but EVERY Hibs keeper ever has also had those.

Some people who have continually claimed we "need better" are so obviously desperate to jump on him at every opportunity, its mad. Anyone who doesn't think he is good enough to be a Hibs number one is off their heed.

We badly missed Levitt gong short to get the ball from Smith. Made distribution much more difficult.

He is a safe option, I hope he remains number 1 next season. I have been impressed, I think him and Johnson should be the 2 fighting it out for the gloves next season.

First goal only happens cause of his poor kick, second he could maybe come for the corner?

Then again, he made a few brilliant saves throughout the match. So swings and roundabouts

Yes he made a couple of errors but his saves kept us in the game.

Another MOTM performance from him, his save from the free kick was brilliant but then he topped that with a couple from close range that he really shouldn't have got near.

He's turned out to be a terrific signing.

His performance was even mentioned on the sports round up on the BBC News Channel. The numpties on BBC Scotland could learn a thing or two from their colleagues down south.

We'll obviously be bringing in another 1, possibly 2 keepers.

It's up to them to take the gloves from Smith. He's our number 1 now

More evidence to dispel the nonsense from the Smith naysayers.

Smith's the league's best keeper on the evidence of Schmeichel's display.
