The pillar is a given - can’t really be helped, but I wasn’t aware of the full netting between away section and main stand. Can’t say I noticed it previously but being up in that area today it made me question why Celtic are allowed to charge what they do for tickets in those areas. They should be embarrassed to sell those at the price they do.

Should be no more than £10 for those seats, given that there is a pillar obscuring a lot of the penalty box as well.

The football experience for fans seems to be going backwards in this country for fans at certain stadiums.

For such a big stadium and a club with a lot of money it’s amazing they have such a crap away section for fans.

Obviously Aberdeen is crap too with the facilities etc.

Something should really come from the Scottish FA about away section standards.

There is an easy solution imo. If they treat us like ***** we don't have to go!

Same Fans who were moaning at Tannadice are fine with this. Scotland's greediest club.
In fairness they only stay for 60 minutes

I noted the irony in their fair deal for fans thing yesterday as they had a banner saying Celtic were "never out of pocket"

Blow torches on brass necks comes to mind. They were also revelling in every mention of being champions on the PA system, buying and flying champions flags, scarves, tees etc

That money literally buys them this. Tone deaf.

It's the rest of us being short changed

Yep, also weren’t arsed for their club offering us a pittance in tickets for the cup match, and screeching about how Aberdeen shouldn’t get 50/50 tickets for the final. Completely entitled bunch of ********s

Despise them. Entitlement is off the scale. This not starting with 50/50 split at Hampden is a complete disgrace

I often wonder how celtic fans would cope if they did move to the English leagues. There's an entire generation of them now who have known nothing else except complete domination. Love to see how they'd manage supporting a team in mid table mediocrity potentially without even European football to sustain them.

I remember years ago paying extra at Parkhead for "unrestricted view" tickets only for the police control box
to block out part of the top corner of the pitch.

Just don't buy. The experience for away fans is garbage, hence why I simply don't bother anymore.

I suppose coming from an age when it was standing and you were having a few beers before the game, with supporters buses being a bit more liberal with the rules, is clouding my view but it's so restrictive now in every aspect it's a chore.

Only time I’ve been to parkhead was for the cup game recently and that’s because we had more seats and I wouldn’t be stuck in that corner. It’s a shambles the biggest football stadium in the country has **** views like that and you pay over the odds for it too

:agree:

I've spoken to celtic fans who seem to think a trip to their place is some kind of special 'big day out' for supporters of other non glasgow based teams.

They laugh and refuse to believe me when I tell them it's one of the least attractive away days. Utterly deluded. What planet are they on?

That was up the first game I went to at Parkhead this season and, between that and the pillar, the view was utterly horrendous.

They have a nerve charging anything more than a tenner in that corner.

There appeared to be some kind of protest during games across Scotland by ultra groups yesterday to calm for “fairer deals for fans”.

Our group had one up at same time as Celtic and while I couldn’t see what it said, assume it was the same theme.

Tickets should be priced appropriately. Just sticking a “restricted view” on a ticket and knocking a couple of quid off isn’t really acceptable.
Some say “why go?”, but it’s not as simple as that. Many still want to see the games despite being housed in substandard facilities like Parkhead.

It’s not all grounds at least -

Awful - Celtic Park, Pittodrie, Fir Park Upper

Good - Ibrox, Tynecastle, McDairmid Park, Dens Park, Victoria Park behind goal (and for away fans, Easter Road)

OK - Tannadice, St Mirren Park, Rugby Park (good if full stand allocated),

They wouldn’t cope or manage mate, they’d find another club to glory hunt with. They get everything organised to favour them, including almost never getting their home matches moved for tv, refs give them everything, sfa bend over backwards for them, but they still complain, and act hard done by and as if they’re somehow put upon, whilst simultaneously gloating about everything.

Why don’t you email the league beaks with photos of your view & they price you were charged & see what their response is ?

I had one genuinely moaning at me at full time because we won the toss and chose to shoot the other way. Utter weapons.

I will do that.

Not out of any expectation of change, but out of curiosity to see what the response is.

It would be exceptionally boring supporting Celtic. Not good enough for a decent European run but far too good and rich for the other clubs in the SPL. How much fun can it really be when you are guaranteed to win every week for 30 years on the bounce and your title competition is non-existent. That's no way to live.

There would be nothing interesting other than the odd European night and occasionally Old Firm debries (which are only really notable when they someone manage to lose to a below par Rangers).

Thinking back I’m sure someone complained about their view they had at tannadice & the sfa agreed with the fan.DUFC had to amend that seat to restricted view & lower the price

Celtic have no motive to improve the match day experience for away fans in their ground. The only reason they have away fans in their ground is because they have to allocate a percentage of their capacity to whatever club they're playing. If this wasn't a rule, they simply wouldn't have any away fans in the ground. They honestly couldn't care less how dire the conditions are for away supporters.

:agree:

Supporting a football team is supposed to be a balance. Yin and yang. Sweet and sour. Pain and euphoria.

We're talking about a fan based who nearly had a meltdown the one season out of the last 14 that they didn't win the league ffs.

I want hibs to be more successful than they are, of course I do. I'd like a few more trophies more regularly. But I honestly wouldn't want the kind of football experience that celtic fans have.

Didn’t they almost riot outside parkhead when they got beaten in a cup match a few years back? When they’d won 4 trebles in a row prior to that match?

Don’t forget the entitlement the felt due to take a trip to Dubai cancelling a game they had vs us. All that during covid restrictions when people couldn’t travel and when there was covid testing going on amongst players.

Don’t understand why some clubs treat the away fans like ****. In one of those unexpected twists of irony, I reckon there’s better you treat your away fans, the quieter they will be (thus, less vocal support for their club). Put it this way - I’m an advocate of standing and shouting for 90 mins at away games, but if I was given one of those big corporate armchairs, half time pie delivery service and first stadium exit before home fans, I’d be as docile as a sloth.

Probably an all-time high in their levels of entitlement.
