RMay be sour grapes but I really cannot understand how DG was beaten to this by a 2nd Division manager

Doesnt matter whar division the managers in (he won it last year in the division below)...The achievements all relative, he did a great job regardless of league. Would have loved SDG to win obviously but was great he even made shortlist.

I would have loved SDG to get it but McGlynn was a worthy winner. Back to back promotions is brilliant going, particularly to come up from the notoriously competitive Championship first time with Falkirk.

I would definitely call bull**** if Rodgers had won it because it’s simply not impressive given their budget.
McGlynn has done a great job and fair play to him is the bottom line for me.

Yes, it isn’t easy to win successive promotions. He’s done really well.

I think fair play to McGlynn and well deserved. In most other seasons SDG would rightly have won. He’ll just need to win it next season!

McGlynn deserves it imo.

I get what folk are saying, but it was an award for manager of the current season, so the promotion from League One doesn't really matter.
Winning the Champioship with Falkirk is what it should be judged on.
He didn't win it the season before after going unbeaten in League One I'm sure? So the league you're in must matter to some extent.

He won it last year...

There you go then! Made a total arse of that didn't I? 😂
Could've sworn I remember folk moaning about him not winning it after an unbeaten season. Obviously not.

Meh, deserved for JM I think.
Strong start to the season and was romping to the title until a few weeks ago but got them over the line, given the context that they'd just come up I think he's a worthy winner.
If Gray hadn't had such a **** start he'd be a lot more worthy a winner. I think he will have been a very close second.

JM deserves it got to love his passion and commitment to Falkirk and his knack for finding diamonds in the rough
Would be a better fit for Hearts than McWinless imo but hope whoever Hearts appoint fails miserably

I would obviously have casted my vote for DG but I can't begrudge it for McGlynn, I know it's only on THIS seasons achievements but its hard not to look at the double promotion when taking the context in. I'm just glad it's not Rodgers and we can celebrate other achievements in the league.

I think McGlynn deserves it, even if we’re discounting the previous season’s promotion, the fact is that he took a newly promoted club to the title in the Championship which is a hugely competitive league. That’s a great achievement.

Rodgers deserved it. On course for a treble as well as winning a double last year even if he's got the best squad its no mean feat to keep on winning

It would be like a dad beating a toddler in a race and claiming a gold medal. If Rodgers had gone a season unbeaten then I'd maybe be inclined to think he deserved it.

No.
Rangers are meant to be their challengers and have offered nothing. It's a stroll to the title largely unopposed.
Of course it's a feat to keep on winning. That is why he is in the conversation. They would have to have done especially well in Europe to tip it in favour of Rodgers, for me.
If Gray had got us to the cup final then I'd have said Gray.
McGlynn has done a fantastic job so I think the award is fair enough.

It gets easier year on year for Rodgers, not harder. The gap between Celtic and the rest grows every season.

Would be like a dad beating the toddler and claiming a gold medal last year, and then doing it again this year but giving themselves a head start over the toddler.

Aye, they spent more money on a centre half alone than the rest of the league spent collectively out with Rangers.
40m compared to hibs 750k.
53 times higher than our budget.

Brenda was like a spoilt entitled brat last time we beat them at ER ungracious in defeat expecting to win as a given
As others have said the ginormous gulf in finances and players they have at their disposal and can attract we can only dream of and should be breezing the league every season by a country mile
Should really be looking to spend some of their war chest and making a better fist of things in the CL by adding better quality
Would not be surprised if Brenda is already getting bored and looking elsewhere?
